Pros: Brews coffee and functions mechanically as it should. Attractive & solidly built Cons: Lukewarm coffee, must warm carafe, grinder noise, can't grind without brewing right away
Summary: The performance of Cuisinart Grind & Brew reminds me of the saying: Pretty Is as Pretty Does. Unfortunately, Cuisinart needs to take another shot at coffee fame with this luxury model ~ in short, it does make ... read more

Pros: Easier to clean, sleek Cons: Odd carafe, no grind adjustment, uses more beans, flat basket, flavor isn't that grand
Summary: I bought the first generation of this coffee maker and couldn't deal with the mess that it made. It was a lot of work to take apart and clean. This version is sleeker, better, and easier to clean, but it has many quirks. I like the design of the basket ... read more

Pros: Metal carafe. Cons: Bad design. Messy. Hard to clean. Grinder jams easily, repeatedly. No useful cleaning tools.
Summary: Trusting the Cusinart name, I purchased the Grind & Brew DGB-900BC expecting to benefit from a well-made, efficient coffee maker, able to reliably deliver a delicious fresh cup of hot coffee to my guests and myself. Now, after a ... read more

Pros: It sometimes pours hot water through grinds to yield a luke-waram cup of coffee. Cons: Unreliable grind output Warm, not hot coffee Grinder plugs up Messes all over
Summary: I REALLY wanted to like this coffee maker. I was impressed by the fact that it had a burr grinder, a timer, strength control and thermal carafe all in one package. Price was pretty high, but hey, you need a good cup of coffee! Grinder ... read more

Pros: Coffee is good. Cons: Messy, confusing, complicated, too tall, and awkward.
Summary: I wouldn’t buy this or any other self-grinding coffee maker again. I expected less mess, but this is much messier than a normal drip machine, it’s complicated to use, and it’s accident prone. The extra mess comes from ... read more

Pros: Stays hot for several hours after brewing without a warming plate. Cons: Requires often cleanings, and without a little ingenuity it makes weak coffee.
Summary: After our Melita grind and brew started leaking every other pot we purchased the Cuisanart. So why didn't we just buy another Melita like we had? They quit making them. In comparing the two, this one is more mainenance in that it must be ... read more

Pros: Looks good? Cons: Cuisnart/$$$/junk
Summary: You wanna grind fresh coffee, with the kind of beans that are roasted perfectly and still oily? Don't use this machine. The beans don't travel down the hopper, they just get stuck and the coffee brews weak. Shallow slope design does not aid in bean ... read more

Pros: styling Cons: poor instructions, temperature of coffee, too much maintenance
Summary: We purchased this machine over a year ago to replace our other Cuisinart, and I would not buy another one. I wind up swearing at the machine every morning when I go to make coffee. I agree with the other reviews about coffee temperature and having to ... read more

Pros: Looks great, good tasting coffee Cons: Bad design, breaks a lot, uses a lot of beans
Summary: My main complaint about this unit has to do with the design flaw. We use the automatic timer and 4 out of 7 days we wake up to a continuous beeping and clicking because for some reason either the basket over-rotates or the metal door gets stuck and ... read more

Pros: Great coffee, reasonably easy maintenance and operation, all-in-one design negates need for a separate grinder. Cons: Low brew temperature, absolutely silly caraffe design, small bean hopper, a bit of extra maintenance.
Summary: After having a great cup of coffee from a friends Cuisinart Grind and Brew over Christmas we purchased one ourselves. It seemed like the ideal machine - fresh ground coffee, an "all in one" appliance, and the supposed good name of "Cuisinart" ... read more

Pros: Easy to use, sturdy, controls are intuitive, multiple options for different strengths. Delicious coffee! Cons: Doesn't stay "coffe hot" for hours. Minimal maintenance.

Pros: Thermal pot keeps coffee hot all day without changing the taste, and very user friendly. Cons: If I HAD to think of something - re-usable filter takes longer to clean.

Pros: strength & grind controls for a great cup; less mess than using a separate grinder Cons: Have for 6 mos. worked great. now buttons don't always work
Summary: Much less mess than grinding in separate grinder. I brew enough for one Starbucks travel mug as I don't like my coffee sitting in a carafe. I am very particular and prefer fresh. I use cool filtered water (PUR) and most often, do not have a problem ... read more

Pros: Large carafe capacity, relatively easy operation, HOT coffee! Cons: Would prefer a lit LED vs. LCD display, water level gauge on only 1 side
