This was a gift to my children and I - and we sure have a lot of fun with it! It's easy to use and makes really great tasting ice cream. You can make whatever you want with whatever goodies and extras you want to add! My kids just love it. It's easy to operate. The only downside is that you either need to have extra storage space in your kitchen or extra counter space...it's quite large. Oh, and remember to read the directions first...you need to put the freezer bowls in the freezer for at least 6-12 hours before you can make a batch...not knowing that kind of spoiled our first ice cream fun-night! But we've had plenty of fun with it since then.

I read quite a bit before making this purchase, and selected the dual model over a single canister type. After the first week I'm very happy with it. The secret is well chilled canisters and cold ingredients. Most canister models make 1-1.5 quarts, this one makes 2 (using both canisters). The smaller canisters seem to insure the contents get chilled faster and more efficiently. The end product is thicker than soft serve ice cream, and will harden in a freezer after 4-5 hours, depending on how cold your freezer is.

I am very happy with this machine! It is easy to use, and the clear plastic tops mean you can literally watch the ice cream being made before your very eyes! It is very fast, and I have had perfect results every time. It is great to be able to make two flavors at once, since no one in my house can ever agree on just one. Stylish and compact, all parts are easy to clean. There is some noise when the machine is on, but I think that is to be expected - It certainly is NOT as loud as a blender.

I received the ice cream maker as a gift from my husband. I always wanted one and he basically bought it for aesthetic reasons. (It matches my kitchen)
Once we read the manual, got all of our ingredients together and made our first batch of ice cream, we were pleased.

It was a fun project with the kids and made some pretty decent ice cream.
Although it doesn't get too much use, I am pleased that my husband got it for me and would recommend it to anyone, even though my experience with ice cream makers prior to this one is nil.
