Cuisinart DGB-600 10-Cup Coffee Maker

Pros: Sexy-looking, easy-pouring carafe, makes good-tasting coffee.
Cons: Grinder too small; pain to clean; no instant-brew-stop feature; overflow problems.

I've had this coffeemaker (black chrome, glass carafe) for a little over a month, and in that short time I've already determined that I will never use the built-in grinder. It is a pain to clean and needs to be cleaned after each use. More importantly, if you like even moderately strong coffee, the grinder only has enough space for 6-8 cups worth of coffee beans. So, unless you like weak coffee, the pot might as well only have a capacity of only 6-8 cups. We now just use our separate grinder to grind the beans. The best things about this product are the pour-performance of the carafe and its appearance. The black chrome is sexy (but a pain to keep clean). Also, there are too many seemingly unecessary parts.

Cons: if any, it would be a Noisy grinder.

Before I purchased the Grind and Brew for my family for Christmas, I read the reviews on epinions. I saw many good ones and some bad ones. I almost didn't buy it because of the two previous reviews. I took a leap of faith and found that this coffee maker to brew one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had.

One of the issues I have had with my old coffee makers were that the temperature of the coffee was not hot enough. This coffee maker makes very hot coffee. It also keeps it from getting the burnt taste because it uses the thermo carafe instead of a warming plate.

If takes about 5 minutes to clean the unit, but I don't need to use a pipe cleaner as mentioned above. I'm wondering if I bought a newer model than the ones complained about above.

Warning, the grinder sounds like an aircraft carrier. The first time we turned it on, we jumped. I guess time will tell if this product continues to perform well.

Pros: Perfect coffee, stays hot and doesn't burn. Grinder works well. Modern style.
Cons: Needs a proper cleaning after every use. Takes time to do it right.

I think you'll either love this machine or hate it. If you are really picky about your coffee, then I think you'll love it. For this machine to work properly, you have to clean it, really clean it after every use. If you want a coffee maker that is easy to use and clean, this is not for you.

I was so impressed with the taste of my coffee using Kirkland Espresso Roast. The flavor was nice and strong, not bitter. Maybe that charcoal filter in the machine really does help, plus I used filtered water to begin with.

I love being able to set the timer and have fresh ground coffee waiting for me in the morning without the hassle of grinding the coffee first, then transferring the coffee from the grinder to the basket and starting up the machine.

This is the best coffee maker I have ever had.
Coffee tastes wonderful, looks nice, easy clean up and easy to program. The best feature is the coffee stays hot form many hours without the bitter taste. Would definitely recommend!!

This Cuisinart Grind and Brew design must have been a bad joke! It leaks all over the place...the grind function is worthless due to moisture in the grind bin...the caraffe doesn't even pour without spilling all over the place, plus you have to turn it completely over to empty it! A total waste of money that turns coffee making from a 2 minute task into a 15 minute nightmare.

I got suckered into the look of the coffee maker and should have payed more attention to the model on display at Williams Sonoma. The water gauge which is located inside the water tank is a joke, you need a flashlight to peer into it. For a short person like me, I have to stand on my tiptoes and look down into it. The stainless steel shows fingerprints easily and the side button which you have to press to open the filter compartment is sometimes difficult to push. They should not have designed this in stainless with all the touching you have to do on the exterior of the machine. Since the coffee pot is thermal, expected the coffee to stay much hotter, it doesn't.
Good bye to this one, it is in my car right now ready to be returned.

While this coffeemaker makes excellent coffee and is a stylish addition to the kitchen counter, the occasional disaster makes you long for your Mr. Coffee. The basket has a tendency to "pop out" during the VERY loud grind cycle, which results in a flood tide of grounds and brown water on the counter and down the front of cabinets and drawers. So, instead of a delicious cup of coffee to start your day, what you find is a great big mess and coffee-stained cabinets. It's definitely not worth the risk. The carafe is poorly designed as well, making it hard to pour without dripping. And, you'll never know whether the coffee is "good to the last drop", because you can't get it out of the pot!

Before I got this beautiful coffee maker I only made instant or drip coffee, or even french pressed, and the expresso pots that heat on the stove. I've also made coffee in resturants, on boats, and on trains with grinders and huge automatic makers.

I've had hundreds of coffee disasters. Coffee is inherently messy.
The Cuisinart is basically fool-proof, and although there are seven pieces to clean, it only takes seconds--just a quick brush and rinse, and set to the side to dry for a few minutes.
Everything works as suggested in the ads.
I can't understand why some people are making a mess of this maker: I am certain they spill coffee regardless of how it is made--they are probably clumsy.
The coffee does not come out blistering hot. This might be a concern for some, but I don't like it burning hot anyway.
It makes great coffee if you don't mind futzing with it for about 5 minutes--total prep and clean-up time.

I just purchased this coffee maker and I absolutely love it. For the price, $99 at CostCo, it is the best I have ever owned. The coffee is very hot, which has been a complaint that I have had with other high end coffee makers. I always grind my beans, but being able to put them straight into the coffee maker without having to transfer them from the grinder is awesome. I highly recommend this coffee maker. The design is great, the parts that need to be cleaned are easily taken out and rinsed or put in the dishwasher. Also, if the grinder ever breaks, it is a separate component and is only $15.

Cons: The grider is hard to clean.  The unit leaks all over the counter.. 

It looks great, it is semi comapct.   I bought it becasue of earlier favorable reviews.  My first few cups of coffee were great, but that quickly changed to not so great.  The grinder is poorly designed and cleaning this unit is a real hassle.  I always get water under the coffee maker, it does make a mess.

This coffee machine stinks! We received it as a gift and were so excited to be able to grind AND brew our own beans! After a few months the same thing that happened to other reviewers happened to us...the grinder cup is now stuck! However, after reading that someone else was able to get it out using pliers, we tried but guess what....it WONT come out. We called cuisinart who told us to run vinegar and water through it...did that 2 TIMES and surprise surprise...STILL STUCK! We have emailed them but NOTHING!
The design DOES stink..it is difficult to clean this machine because after a while, the grinds get in everything!
We're just going to throw this one where it belongs! Trash!
