Pros: Easy to use. Cons: Just wish it made a larger amount for a crowd.
I am like most of the people in the US I love ice cream. It doesn’t have to be summer to enjoy these creamy concoctions. Anytime of the year will do and in fact I seem to crave it more in the winter than I do in the summer.
Pros: Custom ingredients, easy-to-use, cleans easily, delicious, not too big, sleek, compact. Cons: need 2nd bowl, have to make sure freezing bowl is frozen solid
In order to stay at top level health, I have not been able to eat traditional dairy ice cream for many years. A very long time ago (before it was chic) I began to purchase various non-dairy ice cream products. The first being RICE DREAM which ...
Pros: You get to make your own frozen desserts without the mess! Cons: A potentially fattening and expensive hobby.
Last summer, I got a wild hair and decided to purchase a used electric ice cream maker off Ebay for about $7. In order to get our decidedly low tech ice cream maker to work, my husband Bill had to buy ice and rock salt. The process was messy and ...
Pros: Easy to operate, Good directions/recipes Cons: Pain in the butt to clean, Noisy
So, last year I finally managed to get around to reviewing my Cuisinart ICE-20R ice cream maker. It was a cool appliance, though the bright red (the R on the model number differentiated it) never quite fit my decor. That review was fun (it's still ...
Pros: Relatively inexpensive; works very well; easy to use Cons: Noisy; small capacity; inner bowl must be completely frozen before use
I received a $50 gift card from Linens-n-Things, and not being a fan of kitchen gadgets or knicknacks, and not needing any linens, bedding, curtains, or the like, I had a hard time deciding what to use the gift card on. Until I spotted the Cuisinart ...
Pros: Produces a great product
Flavors limited only by your imagination
Cons: You need to freeze the sleeve to below zero F
As much as we love Ice Cream and Gelato - It has way too much fat for our diet. So, we like to make our own - reducing or eliminating the fat (yes, that makes it a Sorbet). We also like to make our own flavors, Ever had Zinfandel or Tamarind ...
Pros: Great quality, fun to mix and create your own ice cream. Cons: Takes a while to freeze the bowl and to firm up the ice cream.
i have had this maker for several years and have lent it out to friends. Everyone is very happy with the quality of ice cream and people I have lent it to have bought their own.
The bowl takes time to freeze and you gotta plan ahead as the ice cream is not firm when you are done making it so it has to sit in the freezer to firm up. Also you have to store the bowl in the freezer between batches. I made a ice cream cake for my daughters birthday and it took several days as I was making 3 different types of ice cream.
But it's well worth the wait!
We enjoy making our own ice creams. I have even made a white chocolate ice cream and have added fresh fruit.
Pros: Delicious results Cons: Not always fully frozen
I bought this product because i wanted to be able to make my own gourmet ice cream . The only negative is that the maker doesn't fully freeze the ingredients. So you sometimes getsomething like a soft service. As a result, I sometimes put the ice cream in a bowl and put it in the freezer for a couple hours and it turns more solid. Then it is just the right consistency that ice cream should be. Also this maker makes all types of stuff like slushies, frozen yogurt and shakes.
Grrreat Machine! - Fun To Use, I Promised You Will Not Be Disappointed by labaholic ,Jan 12 '08
Pros: having your choice to make it soft ice cream or hard ice cream. Cons: none that I can think of
The day I received my ice cream maker I ran to the supermarket for everything I needed and 25 minutes later I had the best, creamy ice cream. This ice cream maker is sooo easy to use. I made coffee mocha for my first try and I just can't get over how smooth and creamy - like Carvel. If you prefer hard ice cream just put it in the freezer. I love that I have a choice. I really like that I could have made it low calorie (but there's no fun to that!). I used a bit less sugar than the recipe called for (because I knew it would be sweet enough because of the cocoa to make it mocha) and it was perfect - not too sweet. I can't wait to make other flavors and to make sorbet. The machine is easy to clean and the cord has a storage area under the base. I really like that.
Pros: It is extremely easy to use and very convienent. Cons: As of right now I haven't found anything wrong with it.
I received this as a gift for Christmas and I absolutley love it! It makes creamy delicious icecream! All you do is keep the mixing bowl in the freezer for whenever you want to make iceream. No ice or salt needed! It makes about 4-5 servings each use.
