Pros: simple to operate, makes soft-serve ice cream Cons: freezer bowl requires a day of freezing, ice cream must be frozen more before serving
As I added items to my bridal registry, I kept asking my husband (then fiance) if he had any requests. He kept saying that the whole thing was my deal and he didn't want to be involved, but one night after a couple of glasses of wine he announced that he ...
Pros: Easy to clean, well built, fast, relatively quiet operation Cons: None
An ice cream maker is hardly a "must have" or everyday use home appliance. When the urge hits you however; there is nothing quite like making your own ice cream! If you have ever used the old style ice cream machines that used rock salt and tons of ice, ...
Pros: Allows you to make any flavor of healthy ice cream or sherbet at home. Cons: None that I can think of.
For those of you who have been reading my food machine related reviews over the last 1-2 years you will have noticed I like to include a few health related bits, with the human population more diseased today than ever before in it's history and as a ...
Pros: quiet, easy to use and clean, recipe booklet Cons: none
I purchased my first ice cream maker this summer: it is a Cuisinart, and I am delighted with it. I was raised to consider an electric ice cream maker an inferior product—my mom still uses (and swears by) her hand crank model. I wasn't sure if an ...
Pros: Simple to use. Inexpensive in cost. Cons: Need to freeze bowl overnight. Doesn't freeze well. Noisy.
While it was simple to use and very inexpensive, I found that the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker did not produce an ice cream that met my standards for good ice cream. I used a recipe found in the included booklet for Chocolate Ice Cream. Once I made the ...
Pros: Easy to use and clean, powerful enough to make a good stiff ice cream. Cons: I can't think of any.
Cuisinart has a real winner with the ICE-30BC Ice Cream Maker! I have used mine for over a year now and I can report that it not only makes great ice cream but it does so efficiently and easily. Simplicity in design and function is the key with this ...
Pros: It's incredibly easy to use. It actually looks good on the counter. Cons: It's a bit noisy.
When our old ice cream maker finally refused to turn the paddle anymore I went looking for a new machine. We have a lot of allergies in out family so we make homemade ice cream and frozen yogurt pretty regularly. When I ran across this machine I was ...
Pros: Easy to clean and operate Cons: A little expensive for what you get
I have been thinking about getting one of these for some time now. Saw it at Costco for under $50 the other day and decided it was time to buy one. Home made ice cream is so good and being able to make it without ice, salt, or a crank is a very good ...
Pros: Affordable, easy and can make delicous healthy treats! Cons: Loud.
We bought this at Sam's Club for about $60. We didn't realize what a bargain we were getting. We only bought it yesterday but have already used it twice and loved it.It's easy to assemble. I didn't want anything ...
Pros: Makes great slushies! Cons: Needs to come with two more bowls so as to facilitate constant slushie production.
OK, picture a 7.5 month pregnant lady walking into Best Buy with only one thing on her mind... "must have slushie." Now I am a Christian woman who believes our cravings are to be monitored and denied if harmful, but really, how bad can a little ice and ...
Pros: Easy to use and clean. Makes ice cream fast. Cons: A little loud when running. Not able to make multiple batches in one day.
This is a great ice cream maker. It's easy to use and to clean. Just use you're favorite recipe and put the mix in the machine and let it churn for 20 minutes. Any chunky bits, like chocolate chips or nuts, get added in the last 2 to 5 minutes. Just ...
Pros: Simple to operate and a three-year warranty Cons: Nothing too major
I picked up this machine a year ago. So far, I have made about 7-8 batches of ice cream. It takes a little while getting used to how it makes ice cream (soft), but by the second or third batch, you will have the hang if it. ...
Pros: Visually very appealing. Compact with few parts to keep up with and simple controls. Cons: Special bucket must be frozen for up to 22 hours before use.
[See updated information at bottom] I bought this at Sam's Club as an impulse buy. Based on appearance and a display at point of purchase that stated "Eliminates the need for ice and rock salt.", I made an assumption that this Ice Cream Maker ...
Pros: Easy to clean; fits on the countertop. Cons: Somewhat noisy; wish I had two bowls so one could always be in the freezer.
I just bought this ice cream maker and let me tell you it's very easy to use. I wanted an ice cream maker that would fit on my counter top but wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb. This stainless steel ice cream maker blends in well with my kitchen and really doesn't take up much space at all (I live in a small apartment). I love the fact that once you have the bowl frozen that it only takes about 30 minutes to make the ice cream. One of the best features of this appliance is that it's easy to clean because it only consists of three parts - not a million little pieces to disassemble and reassemble. It also makes a fairly large batch, 2 quarts, of ice cream in comparison to the other 1.5 quart ice cream makers available. And, if you're looking for a good set of recipes try those that were published in the Cooking Light magazine. They're easy to make and low fat (unlike those provided with the ice cream maker)!
My husband bought this ice cream maker for me so that way we can make homemade ice cream and slushies. It was on sale for a very good price at Target, in the clearance section. This is the easiest appliance I have ever used in my life. All you have to do is freeze the container and take it out when its complete frozen. You add all your ingredients and turn it on, voila its ready.
