Cuisinart ICE-30BC 2 Quart Ice Cream Maker

Pros: Kinda easy and Kinda quick. Small and VERY easy to clean.
Cons: Loud and does not create ice cream - creates a shake. Freeze for ice cream

Just got this last week. Tried to make ice cream three times I got one batch of ice cream in the end. While it is SUPER NOISY, I guess it may be quiet for an ice cream maker.

Ice cream is done when it is still kinda soupy like a shake and not yet at soft serve consistency. You need to freeze it for 2 hours to get it hard enough to be called ice cream.

Recipe books is pretty good.

Overall this machine works and only takes about 25-35 minutes for a batch of straight vanilla.

I was hoping for more but so far I have not found a nice unit within my price range.

Don't get me wrong this item is pretty nice and looks good on my counter. We just tend not to store or use it on my counter!

When the kids make their ice cream it comes out as a shake and they have to wait 2 hours for ice cream.

Pros: easy! delicious! fun!
Cons: a tiny bit noisy, but well worth it.

I got this ice cream maker as a present yesterday, and after letting the freezing bowl cool overnight in the freezer I made some pistachio ice cream today. Pistachio is my favorite flavor, but the batch I made today was the best I've ever tasted. It was very easy (other than shelling the pistachios!) ;-) and it took only about 25 minutes for the mixture to be done. It was fun to watch it solidify right before my eyes, and with only two parts in addition to the bowl it was very easy to clean up as well! I am looking forward to making lots of different flavors from now on, and I might have to have some friends over for dinner just so I can serve them my ice cream! Very highly recommended!
