Pros: Keeps coffee hot, easy to use and clean, sneak-a-cup and preset features. Cons: Expensive. Lid a bit awkward.
I have never owned a carafe type coffee maker before. I have always liked the idea of having a burner plate that keeps the coffee piping hot, especially on Saturday mornings when I have more time to sit back and enjoy my coffee throughout the morning. ...
Smile - I'm joking!!! I don’t know exactly when “coffee” became a morning ritual for me. Drinking coffee in the morning is one of those comforting habits that I don’t really want to break though. I like the “intimacy” of the quiet moments spent in ...
Pros: Proper brew temp of greater than 195 degrees. Coffee stays drinkably hot a long time. Cons: A little tall. May not fit under low kitchen cabinets.
I roast my own coffee. I'm a coffee fanatic. In fact, most of my friends call me a coffee snob. When it came time for me to replace my Braun coffee maker, I did A LOT of research and settled on the Cuisinart DTC-975BKN (black with stainless ...
Pros: Easy to use, great tasting brew. No need to adjust spout to pour!
Keeps coffee HOT. Cons: Nuisance beeps when brew done.
Watch screwing cap on to ensure straight.
We have had our DTC-975 for a month and it really makes a fine tasting brew. We have had lower cost glass carafe units for years but after our last unit konked out we wanted to try out a stainless carafe unit - we almost bought a sale priced cheapy ...
Pros: Easy to use, stays warm a long time, coffee tastes great. Cons: Can be expensive for some.
I spent hours, no, days researching 100's of coffee makers. I read so many reviews on so many different styles and brands that it all started to run together but in the end it was this Cuisinart 12 cup that won! My main criteria for a new coffee maker ...
Pros: Keeps coffee hot 8+ hours, no burning pots Cons: Awkward to fill with water; can overflow if pot not seated correctly
I have had this coffee maker for over a year. I have a coffee habit that most machines don't cater to -- I drink 6-10 cups a day, but I drink them over the course of the day. With most coffee makers, I had two choices: I could get one that ...
Just threw this coffeemaker out (reluctantly) by lcorrado ,Mar 14 '08
Pros: Kept the coffee HOT all day and the coffee was really delicious. Cons: Coffee wouldn't enter the carafe and spilled onto counter.
And I really wanted to keep it, but it's just not reliable. I purchased it in January 2007, and by May 2007 I had called the company to complain that the coffee didn't reliably go into the carafe. Instead it flooded my kitchen counter. They sent me a replacement carafe lid, which worked until January 2008. I called the company again to ask for a new unit, and they offered to send me a free carafe. This only worked a few times before the flooding occurred again. There seems to be a serious flaw in the design of the meeting of the basket "spigot" and the carafe lid. Because of this, I wasn't able to let the coffee brew unattended, which made it impossible to use the automatic timer feature. This morning I realized that I was spending way too much time watching the coffee brew daily, and cleaning up the messes that occurred, so I just threw the unit out.
