Functional and durable
by sammysph2 ,Dec 09 '09
Pros: Durable and highly functional. Cons: None that I have encountered.
This mixer has gone well past the point of where it;s predecessor (kitchen aid) disintegrated. Every thing is right with this unit, it fits undernn the overhead kitched cabinet and does not "walk" when kneading bread. The motor has an automatic cut off when it overheats - but it never trips, no matter what size the dough size. This unit never gets more thaa slightly warm and it kneads with ease. It is a well engineered and constructeded stand mixer.

Finally, it's not my mothers stand mixer!
by marie579 ,Feb 27 '09
Pros: Modern design, excellent power, two-handled bowl, timer, fold button and nonstock attachments. 800 watts! Cons: Hard to find the accessories unless you order them online.
Kitchen Aid might have the colors but Cuisinart knows how to make a stand mixer! This appliance should be called a kitchen center. Running on 800 watts after you add the accessories it's a stand mixer, juicer, blender, food processor, pasta maker and meat grinder. This is more power than my countertop blender! I'm particularly ecstatic about the plastic shield that connects to and goes up with the head giving you easy access to the bowl when lifted. The bowl design is sleek and I've yet to find any dry ingredients left at the bottom after mixing. The test for me was finding out if it would beat one egg white - and it did!
