Pros: Style, electronic precision, consistent results. Cons: A bit slow at toasting and warming up. POTENTIALLY UNSAFE STUCK TOASTING = FIRE.
FYI - This toaster oven DOES NOT have Convection Cooking as stated in Epinion's title. Updated 10/21/2006 and 8/28/2007 and 8/1/2008 when it malfunctioned and caused a flash fire. Why did you buy this product? ****I Do Not Recommend as of 8/2008 - ...

Pros: Great styling
Fast and even cooking
Cons: Danger of burns from hot cabinet
No timer
Inconvenient crumb tray removal
I go along basically with skidderss' review of this oven. It is modern, sleek, and well made by all accounts. And heats evenly and for me, fast enough. I am also a former Black & Decker owner, and I was surprised to find this one has no timer. There ...

Pros: Stylish, easy to use, slide out crumb tray, sturdy Cons: Sensitive toast function, makes food darker on top & in back of unit
After my Black and Decker toaster oven got really cruddy looking & started to smell like fire we decided it was time to retire it and buy new. Our choice was the Cuisinart Classic TOB-50 without convection. We purchased it at PC Richard for $80 using a ...

Beware of door issue
by philkosla ,Mar 19 '08
Pros: Nice looking Cons: Door does not work well
I want to ditto the prior review regarding the door. The door will every time not close all the way, and stays open about a quarter inch. On ours, if I spend a few minutes jiggling I can usually (but not always) get it to close.

Great but door problem.
by arizmendi ,Oct 20 '07
Pros: Even toasting (but slow). Cooks everything it's supposed to without problem. Cons: Door not latching.
The oven works well except for one thing. We are on our third oven and all three (including the current one) don't have a door that closes all the way. The door(s can be closed all the way and it then falls open about a quarter inch. Too bad, since the toast is evenly done. I called tech support and they deny any known problems. I'm going to take it apart and see if I can fix it myself now that it's past warranty.

Low quality product
by rancilio ,Dec 23 '07
Pros: None Cons: Breaks, ugly
I was warned about Cuisinart quality problems, but I still went and purchased this oven. After just 6 month it stuck on broil setting and now burns everything that gets in. I think I'll stay away from this oven and from Cuisinart products in the future

WD40 (Make sure you use straw)
by sysassaman ,Mar 31 '08
Pros: DO IT! Cons: Not sure what the cons are...works great. Love the Toaster Oven.
OK..Door made me crazy as it would not shut... Also squeeked... I put some Lubricant WD40 inside the left hinge (open the door, use the straw on the can and squirt just a little...)... Now it shuts great. (OK now this hint is given to you with no implied guarantee from me (so you cannot sue me)...but bottom line toaster works great now.

good toaster with two flaws
by janeforster ,Jul 06 '08
Pros: toast very well, simply and quick to use, looks good Cons: coating peels, door sticks a bit
This is an easy toaster to use. Toasts well, easy to keep clean, and looks good. However, the black inside coating (nonstick?)is peeling off the back wall, and the door is sticking. Thanks to a previous comment I now know to spray the door with WD40. We brushed off the flaking black so it does not get into food, and toast at the front of the toaster. That solves the flaking problem. At least it toasts and heats properly which is the main thing.

Neither a good toaster nor a good oven
by lenschfer ,Jan 12 '08
Pros: After a year, it still works, although never well. Cons: Very slow & uneven toasting. Top (broiler) element is 'ON' in bake mode. Large footprint.
Toast take 4-5 minutes. The top elements get much hotter than the bottom elements resulting in very uneven toasting.
In the bake mode, the top elements cycle on/off with the bottom elements causing some foods to burn on top unless protected with foil.
My model TOB-50 is NOT a convection oven.

This is one of the best
by staceyld ,Dec 28 '07
Pros: Style, electronic precision, consistent results, simple to operate. Still works after more than a year! Cons: I can't think of any cons for this oven. It works perfectly still.
We have owned every brand of toaster oven out there. They normally don't last more than 6 months in our house. We use ours several times daily, and hardly ever use our oven. We have usually bought the $40 and under models in the past, but this time I splurged on a Cuisinart. We haven't been disappointed!
