Pros: Adjustable settings, good size waffles Cons: a little pricey

Not such a nice appliance

Pros: Nice and big- good browning- nice look Cons: HOT spot burns-lid latch sticks-smallish safe area on handle
I bought this waffle iron after purchasing a cheap model and realizing how awful it was. I decided to go all the way and get a nice model. I read the reviews and really liked one recommended but when I went to the store I found that it was really small. I immediately liked the look of this one and got it. But when I got it home to try it out I found it's flaw. I set the darkness control to four and got a nicely browned waffle....with a VERY dark center. There is a hot spot in the dead center of the iron that really tries to burn the four waffles. I also noticed that if it is slightly overfilled, the leak runs right into the darkness control. I have tried it three times, with the same results. I will probably return it to the store this week. I also burned my fingers by grabbing the handle to open it just next to the safe center of the handle. Also, the lid lock sticks sometimes. Yes, I certainly will return it!!!
