Pros: Really works on dry skin. Does not irritate. Cons: May be too gentle for tough skin areas.
Having dry skin had some advantages when I was younger. I didn't get as many pimples as most other kids! Buts as I got older, having dry skin has become a challenge to manage. Not only is my skin dry, but it is sensitive about what kind of lotion I use. ...
Pros: moisturizing, feels good going on, absorbs easily Cons: does not provide 24 hours of moisture
A while ago I received a 1 oz. sample tube of Curel Continuous Comfort Moisturizing Lotion. Normally I go for lotions from Bath and Body Works or The Body Shop, but I've been wearing more perfumes lately so I needed something less ...
Pros: Cheaper in price than the Original Formula Cons: Doesn't work on dry hands, feet, and elbows
As long term user of Curel, I had a sinking feeling in my stomach when I saw the blue bottles replacing the familiar white bottle on my drugstore shelf. Asking at the pharmacy about the change, I was informed that Kao now owns the Curel brand and ...
Pros: moisturizing, non-greasy, cheap, varied sizes available for purchase Cons: strange scent
This summer, I'm working as a temporary clerk in an office which requires me to be at work by 8 AM every morning. Needless to say, a full beauty routine is not on the top of my list of priorities when I'm dashing out the door to make it on time! One of ...
Pros: excellent emolliant, light, absorbs quickly, no overwhelming perfume Cons: maybe a bit heavy in more humid climates
I life in a subhumid climate, where there is always about 80% humidity or more. Then I went to the Grand Canyon on a rafting trip (think wet, dry, wet, dry, wet, dry, sun, sun, sun, wet, dry...etc). Not in the habit of using lotion every day, I was an ...
Pros: Improves the appearance and texture of my hands; mild fragrance; pretty bottle Cons: A little heavy
In the winter, I get very dry hands with some minor cracking around my cuticles and between my fingers. For being only 30, I think my hands look more like those of my 40-year-old friends. A girl at work offered me this lotion when she said the scent ...
Moisturizes better than other brands by fda2230 ,Jan 13 '06
Pros: moisture lasts a long time, heals cracked hands Cons: the scent could be better
This is a great moisturizer. It helps my skin to feel soft and comforted, and the moisturization lasts a long time. I find it works better than other moisturizers, better even than lubriderm which did not work well for me. I even use the curel on my face and surprisingly it doesnt make my skin break out. Its making my skin look really nice and im thankful i found this product. Its very similar to EVERSOFT lotion, a discontinued moisturizer product from a few years ago.
Watch out for the new formula! by jolager ,Jul 24 '06
Pros: Smelled good. Non-greasy. Cons: Potential allergen in new formula
I have previously used Curel products and was pleased with them. I bought two large bottles of this new "original formula" and after my next shower, applied it liberally to my skin. Within 8 hours, I had terrible itchy hives all over my body and swollen lips. I spoke to the customer service people at Kao, and they could not tell me which potential allergens were in this new formulation, although they did note that Shea Butter was a new ingredient.
Shea butter is a potential allergen, so I plan to avoid it in the future. It is a very popular ingredient in lotions these days.
Curel Continuous Comfort is Great! by chasshane ,Aug 06 '07
Pros: The best lotion I've ever used! I never leave home without it! Cons: The smell is not bad, but is very plain.
I am a busy mother of four. I wash my hands quite frequently throughout the day. I recently went on a search to find a cure for my dry hands. Well, Curel did the trick. My hands were often so cracked that they would bleed. Now, thanks to Curel my hands are soft and smooth.
