Pros: Ergonomic design, dishwasher safe, durable
    Cons: None

Summary: Please note this review is not on the entire Studio Set. I will only be reviewing two specific Cutco knives, and there were only categories for sets. This set is the closest to what I have, so I've placed it here. I was putting away ... read more

    Pros: Quality
    Cons: Shipping costs

Pros: Effortless, balanced, practically forever sharp and indestructible, dishwasher safe, beautiful pearl handles
Cons: Extremely sharp; for safely, place blade away from you when setting knife on counter

    Cons: Price

Summary: Please note that this review will cover only 2 knives and not the entire Studio Knife Set. Today, I received my Cutco knives. I ordered the Trimmer and the 8-piece table knife set, which was offered for the price of the 6-piece set. I'm keeping ... read more

Pros: High quality, sharp, lifetime warranty
    Cons: Expensive

  • Cutco knives- OUCH!!

    Dec 27, 2000
    Pros: Sharp, high-quality knives
Cons: Expensive, dangerous if you're careless

Summary: Most of you out there have probably known someone who has spent a summer selling Cutco knives. Cutco's main sales/marketing arm is college students selling knives during their summer vacations. The idea is that friends and family will be guilted into ... read more

  • Cutco Does NOT Cut It

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jul 21, 2000
    Pros: Sharp knives
Cons: I have seen numerous rusty knives which make me doubt the "High Carbon Surgical Stainless Steel" claim.

Summary: I worked as a Cutco salesperson for a few months one summer.. partly for the money, and partly to appease my parents, who were duly alarmed at my new job choice. At the time, I thought the knives were great. I was told repeatedly by friends and family ... read more

    Pros: Warranty, Almost everything essential
    Cons: No Chef Knife

    May 15, 2000
    Pros: quality and service
    Cons: cost

Summary: I would never have believed that Cutco cutlery was better than their competition if I hadn't had a friend sell it. I made so much fun of him because he was selling knives, but then I was able to test and use the products and I was sold. I now ... read more

    May 5, 2000
    Pros: quality
    Cons: none

Summary: Robyn didn't state what knife she tried using to cut through the lobster tail. She should have been using the butcher knife. That would have been recommended in the " How to choose and use guide" that accompanies every order from cutco. If she ... read more

    Pros: The knives everyone needs
    Cons: none

Summary: There has been some concern from other members about the fact that my epinions of CUTCO products resemble each other. I feel that I am very qualified to write about all the sets and that much of the information is the same, since the quality of the ... read more

  • CUTCO for life

    May 29, 2009
Pros: Count me in again in my next life.
Cons: Have to spread the cost over time to justify. Or just like good things.

Summary: We've had Cutco for 50 years, broken two (which they replaced) and had them sharpened many times. They are great and we would buy them again easily. Expensive? However much we paid divided by 50 years is some small number. Too good? We are not
