Pros: removes can lids cleanly and safely Cons: flimsy construction, probably overpriced
The old saw would have it that "if you build a better mousetrap, the world will beat a path to your door." I guess that one dates to before everyone simply spread poison all over the landscape to get rid of those pesky mice. Nowadays, I suspect, that ...

Gripper to take off lids Cons: Not your traditional opener, can be confusing at first
I love this can opener. This can opener works great! It eliminates any sharp edges and then it has a grip on it where you can grip the lid and lift it right off of the can. It is simple, easy to use and there are absolutely no sharp edges on the lid! ...

I purchased THREE of these, one for ME and one for each of my grown daughters. It is my new favorite kitchen gadget! I’m a lefty and the traditional hand can-openers never want to cooperate for me. This one snaps right on the top of the can and POOF, ...
THE WORST CAN OPENER, EVER! by soadnirvana ,Apr 25 '06
Pros: None! Cons: Hard to use, deceiving design
Do not purchase this can opener. For something so simple as a "can opener", this piece of junk is hard to operate. Mine was given to me as a gift and I have had nothing but problems with it. My husband thinks its the best thing, and easy to use. But I hate it! The handles don't swing open easily like a typical can opener. I think Swing Away is better than this piece of junk. Don't waste your time and money!
I love this can opener just for the fact that I don't have to worry about getting cut on the lid anymore. I would always cut my leg when carrying out the trash and that just irritated me more than anything. At first I will admit I had a hard time figuring it out, but once I did, it takes me no longer than any other can opener. I think that it is very durable and will last a long time.
I also like that I can store stuff in the can now if I don't use it all. The lid just sits back on the can, pretty securely, and then you put it in the fridge.
My husband also likes it because now we rinse out the cans good and then he puts small bolt and nuts in the garage in them. Sure the lid isn't going to stay on if you drop it or something but it works otherwise.
