Pros: Cleans very well, many attachments Cons: tongue scraper not great for people with a bad gag-reflex
I have used many electric and sonic toothbrushes over the last few years, but the Cybersonic 2 has it all and is done right! The folks at Amden, Corp. designed the original Cybersonic toothbrush and it was a huge hit. They listened to all of ...
Pros: Works well. Replacement toothbrush head cost is LOW! Cons: DEAD AFTER 18 MONTHS. HEAD HAS NO MOVING PARTS IT JUST VIBRATES A LOT.
UPDATE 8/10/2006 - IT'S DEAD. THE BATTERY DIED AND THERE'S NO WAY TO REPLACE IT. UNFORTUNATELY I CAN'T RECOMMEND IT BASED ON THAT ALONE. YOU DON'T SPEND $80+ FOR A TOOTHBRUSH ONLY TO HAVE IT DIE AFTER 18 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP. ORIGINAL TITLE OF THIS ...
Pros: Good sonic brushing. Good price. Cons: Extra attachments don't add value.
This sonic toothbrush comes with numerous attachments designed for full mouth cleaning. The Cybersonic2 package comes with attachments for brushing, flossing and tongue cleaning. There is also whitening solution to brighten your smile. The brush is ...
Pros: Nice cleaning if the brush attachment stays on Cons: Defective brush attachments, flossers, price
I have been using the Cybersonic2 for 2 years now. For a while, I discontinued use because I became frustrated with the brushes. No matter how slight the pressure, the brush would fly off and hit the floor. I dont know about anyone else, but once my ...
Pros: Fairly good clean feeling Cons: Loud noise, scammers
I had seen a commercial for the Cybersonic before. I thought it looked very good, so I decided to buy it. They send me the toothbrush and everything that came along with it. The Cybersonic did give me a clean feeling, but it was very very noisy and ...
Pros: Good for at least a week until the brush head cracks. Cons: Brushhead will not stay on the handle.
I have used Cybersonic 1 for more than 2 years and have great experience so when the handle stops charging battery, I decided to replace it with the Cypersonic 2. I like the fact that it has a bigger brush surface and more strokes per minute. After ...
Bought two of them through the vendor Web site.
One of them stopped working after a week. I had to send it back for replacement. Waited for a month to get the replacement. The other stopped working after 3 month.
Also, the heads keep on falling while brushing.
Pros: Terrific and much less expensive than SoniCare. Cons: None over the two years I've been using it.
I've had this for over two years now and I love it.
Gets my teeth really clean in a faster and more effective way than the SoniCare, which my wife still uses.
Replacement brushes are quite cheap (2/$4.65 s/h vs 2/$24 for SoniCare) and are quite comfortable.
Have never used the tongue scraper (which looks rather flimsy) but swear by brush.
I've read a few opinions where the complaint is that the brush falls off. It happened to me also, but discovered it was due to packing it for a trip with head attached. I crazy-glued the inside panels inside brush and it lasted a full three months. I consider the falling off my neglect and not the quality of the brush.
Pros: Good cleaning Cons: Costs over $50/yr in replacement brushes to keep it working
The replacement brushes keep on cracking and falling off. This is a design flaw that adds significant cost to owning this product. The customer support rep said it's because I'm a man and press too hard on the brush. Nonsense. I hold the brush with 2 fingers just to support the weight. I've gone through dozens of brushes now and NONE has lasted more than 3 or 4 weeks before breaking.
I bought my cybersonic2 through QVC. First one of the heads broke. I called the company and they said it was my fault. Then a few weeks later the damn thing stopped working all together. It has a one year warranty so I called Amden. They told me they won't honor the warranty since I bought it through QVC. I said that's nonsense; it comes with a one year warranty. Then they asked me how much I paid for it. Then they told me the only way I could have it fixed or replaced was if I bought an extended warranty from them for $32. I told them to go jump in a lake! I'd take it up with QVC. You'd have to have rocks in your head if you bought this product. I have a Braun and a Sonicare also. I can't recommend enough to buy a product from a reputable company!!!
Pros: None. Cons: If the brushes crack and fall off there aren't any pros.
After reading several reviews on several different sites I've found that I'm not the only one who is disappointed with the Cybersonic 2. The toothbrush and the flosser have both cracked and don't want to stay on. This is a design flaw but from what I've read Amden doesn't want to own up to it. I suggest that anyone thinking about purchasing Cybersonic do a bit more research beforehand so they aren't disappointed after.
