Cybiko, WOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW!

by colldy , May 18 '01
Pros: Great features and ease
Cons: Needs advancements and upgrades and range. Also expensive but dropping
Imagine a kid passes notes in class, though dozens of kids are communicating rather than absorbing the three R's. Cybiko is trying to make this happen :). Using a 900-MHz band (the same as your cordless phone), Cybiko lets the gadget lovers of...

CYBIKO: Not all it's cracked up to be

by parkavery , May 06 '01
Pros: Games, applications, what more could you need?
Cons: Marketting directed at teens, but this is strictly a toy and strictly for kids.
The Cybiko commercials, website, and hype all try to market this as a PDA for teenagers. Well, I bit into the hype, but I am an teenager and this thing drives me AND my peers nuts.

FEATURES:
It has a chat feature, which I've never used,...

Cybiko May Be Cool But No Substitute for "Real" PDA

by rsilbe , Apr 23 '01
Pros: Offers kids another communication venue.
Cons: Ultimately a toy, not a PDA.
A Cybiko came in to our household because my son really liked what he saw in the advertisements. All the aspects of "cool". Although I did a fair amount of Internet research to find out what I could about Cybiko before allowing him to use his own money...

Cybiko - The Wireless Dream

by matt_10710 , Nov 06 '00
Pros: lots of games, wireless chat, email, open SDK
Cons: display not backlit, no touch screen, low powered CPU
Cybiko is a PDA with a full QWERTY keyboard and wireless 900MHz communications. Cybikos within 300 feet of each other (outdoors, 150 ft inside) automatically find one another and form "ad-hoc" wireless networks. They will route messages to...

Pros: Great to help you learn
Cons: No one to chat with, Games are bland will last you 10 to 20 minutes.
I got my Cybiko for Christmas, my parents got it for me because they know I like computers and I like to go on the internet a lot and do stuff like that. Well I got this Cybiko and I really didn't know how it worked. I did some research, and figured it...

What's good and What's bad

by mikemsd , Dec 09 '00
Pros: Wireless, Expandable, Sleek design, Fun
Cons: Limited range, Limited storage space, E-mail not truly wireless
The Cybiko Intertainment system. From what the box says it is the best gadget that has come out for Teenagers since the gameboy. It's lots of fun, but it does have it's limitations.

The Good

Sleek design - The Cybiko...

Forget Palm Pilots - Forget Game Boy... Go for the Cybiko

by popkorn1 , Nov 26 '00
Pros: Completely expandable, great software, full keyboard, stylus, wireless chat, awesome
Cons: Small keyboard for big hands (but it has a stylus)
I've always thought that Palm Pilots were great, but I never actually had one. Why? Because I didn't really see much use for them. Sure I can what, keep appointments? Keep phone numbers and e-mails? (I'm not saying thats all they do.. but just hear...

Well worth the price.

by jpobre , Jan 03 '01
Pros: Great and growing selection of games and apps, ability to communicate with other Cybikos makes it worth buying
Cons: Not enough built-in memory, no one else in my neighborhood has one.
Sure it may not have powerful 3D graphics capabilities or a color touch-screen, but with the wireless chat/gaming features, loads of useful stuff you'd find on other PDA's, and the ability to download games from their web site for free, the Cybiko is...

Not a whole lot wrong with this

by finalphoenix , Jan 17 '03
Pros: Wireless (WAP), computer link, internet expandable
Cons: Low battery time, small keys, can suffer slowdowns, limited comm range
Bought this little "organizer" as it was billed by the seller, and was very over-impressed by the capabilites of this little device. Other people with these devices can chat and send things wirelessly- definite plus. Wireless internet access is available...

Definitely Not Worth It

by Southpaw731 , Oct 06 '01
Pros: Download a new game everyday.
Cons: Everything else.
If you have a child around the ages of 8-13 and they have knowledge about computers than this is a good toy. If you do not, well then go get something else. I received my Cybiko as a Christmas present in 2000. I brought it to school after Winter vacation...

It's off to Ebay!

by fourmaster , Jul 06 '01
Pros: Tons of free apps,/games avaiable for download; potential MP3 player
Cons: tiny keyboard, small screen, no "wireless" e-mail, not a true PDA
A few weeks ago, I was a lucky winner of a Cybiko. I had heard about this device and also seen advertisements. I thought that this would be the perfect PDA for a teenager, and I felt very "lucky" to have gotten one for free.
