Muscle Milk Chocolate Milk; Rich, powerful, packed, but too sweet

by prapresident , Mar 30 '05
Pros: Quality blend of proteins, addition of key resistance-training ingredients, natural good taste
Cons: Slightly too sweet, mildly overpriced.
I had been reading some promising information on Muscle Milk (from www.freetrainers.com, a site that I frequent and respect) and I thought I would give it a try. I can't really do too much to separate my review from the others on Muscle Milk, but I'll ...

by cspu Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, May 24 '01
Pros: Mixes well, Taste Great - even when mixed with water
Cons: Price, High Calories and Fat
Cytosport lured me into trying Muscle Milk with tag lines like "Nature's Ultimate Growth Formula" and "Burn Fat! Don't Store It!". A bodybuilder friend also recommended it so I decided to give it a shot. I bought some trusty Methoxy-Pro just in...

Great taste, good profile, suspect ingredient

by gms049 , Jan 26 '07
Pros: great taste, good mixibility, good nutritional benefits
Cons: price, a bit high in fat, includes glycocyamine, misleading claims
I picked up this particular supplement as a meal replacement to occasionally fill in the nutrient gaps whenever I didn't have time to make a real meal. While the label suggests that you use this morning, pre-workout, post-workout, and before bed, the ...

Pros: GREAT TASTE, many flavors, quality product, low carbs, high "good" fat, most complete MRP
Cons: needs flax (omega 3fats)to complete the fat
It is hard to have as complete a view of proteins as i do! I have had them all, from the $35 per pound custom made proteins to the $20 for six pounds you can get at cost co. I also work in a retail store where we sell our own proteins. I no longer purch ...

Taste breakthrough

by tman97219 , May 01 '02
Pros: Great taste in a variety of flavors. MCT's for energy.
Cons: Delivers only 32g of protein in 2 scoops where as most others deliver 40g.
I've been taking supplements for a number of years now and always fell for the manufacturers claims of "new and improved taste!" or "winner of a recent taste test" and the infamous "voted #1 best tasting by consumers". Most of them of course have tasted...

by bowflexuser , Dec 14 '04
Pros: Mixes well, tastes GREAT, doesn't lie on the label
Cons: will let you know in 6 weeks
I have known for a long time that I needed a good protein shake. I don't get nearly enough nutrients in my diet. I used to work out about 2 years ago, and I got pretty strong, and my muscles were pretty big: However, I didn't lost a lot of fat. I ...

Muscle Milk is the best protein I've found.

by easychief , Jun 16 '05
Pros: Tastes very good. Casein is better than whey. MCT fats keep you lean. Many Flavors
Cons: More expensive than whey. Doesn't mix as well as whey. Harder to clean from shaker.
I've been taking Muscle Milk for a while now and I've had good results. Its always a little hard to know how much credit to give to a protein shake. I've gained size, strength, and stayed lean. I had a nutritionist recommend it to me and I didnt ...

Pros: Taste, Recovery Aid, good source of protein

Muscle Milk...or Buttermilk

by mrzero44 , Sep 18 '07
Pros: Tastes better than other supplements
Cons: High Calorie, High Fat, and WILL NOT make you lean!
I'm 37 and have been bodybuilding for 20 years, taking about every supplement under the sun. I'm usually very careful about reading labels, but I admit it...I was suckered in by the "lean" claims, despite the high fat content. I purchased a couple months ...

Best Tasting and it is working
by harddrivet ,Apr 05 '05
Pros: To me, This is the best out there.
Cons: Different flavors do not mix as smoothly or easily.
I almost don't want to post this review, because I feel I am giving my secret away.

The Muscle Milk formula is the best I have found to date. I really like the taste, it has no side effects as many of the others do, such as bloating, gas, sick stomach, and worse. This product also mixes easily for a nice smooth drink. Muscle Milk really seems to be working for me, I feel stronger during my workouts, and I can notice a nice muscle gain while using this supplement in combination with regular exercise. I like to use it after my workout in the morning, and then before I go to bed at night.

My favorite flavors are Strawberry Creme and Banana Creme. I have tried the Peanut butter chocolate and did not really like the taste and that flavor did not mix well. I also thought the Cookies and Creme was too sweet for my taste, but I would not say it was bad, I finished the whole jug.

Overall I recommend this product among any other protein supplement I have tried. I expect to try the coffee flavor and the Chocolate Mint next.
