Pros: easy setup, sleek looks, value Cons: software that wasn't worth the CD it was burned to
I decided to relocate. Renting a truck and movers would not be necessary as all I was moving was my desktop computer from the office to another room in the house. Unfortunately the Internet was further away than I was willing to stretch that nice blue ...
Pros: reliability, price, speed. Cons: user interface, design, ease of use.
I have set up over 50 routers to date, but I have to admit - I still don't understand them and every single time hook them up, close my eyes and kind of hope they will work... same feeling that I get when trying to link bluetooth devices. What amazes ...
I bought my D-Link DIR 615 wireless router from Fry's in Burbank California in March 2008. I have been pleasantly surprised at every turn. As a home computer gadgeteer, I realized that I would have to purchase and install a "router" in order to get ...
Pros: Low cost, good feature set Cons: Unreliable from day one.
This is highly intermittent. Sometimes a reset, per the manual, will completely reset the DIR-615A1. Other times it resets the IP address but not the password. Over the last four months I have spent hours with this thing. It was in use as a second AP, ...
Pros: Easy set up/web admin Cons: price ($60) - but worth it
I almost returned this router based on the review already posted. But I downloaded the owner's manual from dlink.com and looked it over before installing it. The online docs looked pretty easy to set up with many options. Also, the manual was quite ...
Pros: Dynamic DNS Service built in! Fast Routing and web interface. Cons: Have not come across any yet.
I recently purchased this router as a back up to my current network router. I had a Linksys WRT54G router running a web server, a SQL Server, Network printer, Regular PC, and a couple wireless clients. This was all connected through a 4MB link to the ...
Pros: The price is right! Range is good. Speed is good (for G). Cons: A little difficult to setup. Upgrade the firmware
I've had this router for about a week. I saw a bunch of bad reviews, but the price was right and thought I would try it out. It was a little difficult to setup (I wouldn't suggest it if this is your first experience with setting up a wireless router). ...
Pros: Easy to set up, upgrade, backup. Cons: Firmware upgrade wipes out settings.
I first bought this router because it was the cheapest N-draft router but I have been pleasantly surprised. I replaced a Linksys G router (WRT54GL) which I had to reboot all the time. My last two routers were Linksys and although I loved it at first, I ...
Pros: Good Range on Wireless Cons: Horrible setup, firmware bugs, reboots, unstable
i bought this router after my Netgear died. What a pain this thing is. First they require you to have your DSL modem connected to you PC so you can run their CD install software. They use some 3rd party software to monitor and config the unit ...
Pros: Great range, signal strength, price. Good Tech Support. Easy to follow instructions. Use wifi b/g Cons: Static IP's for wireless devices. Set-up annoying and drawn out. Trouble with firmware upgrade
Welcome to the wonderful world of wireless-n (draft)! I recently moved and started looking around for a highspeed router to go with highspeed internet connection. I looked into wifi g, super-g, and any of those variations with MIMO. After deciding that ...
I had mixed views an this router. I bout one in spite of the reviews. It was hard to set up. I did some research and found out that there are two different ones. I bought REV A1. I took it back and bought REV B2. Made all the difference in the world. If you are to buy one look for REV B2. NOT REV A1. I upgraded the firmware and I have not had any problems.
