It's lasted three years, and only now has it begun having minor problems. I've recommended the model to a friend, and he loves it. I like the look of it, with buttons clearly marked and a remote that someone actually thought about when designing. Now I'm searching for a replacement, but it seems it's discontinued. Still, I'd buy it again if I could.

Being Europeans in the US we were looking for a multi-zone, multi-system and multi-voltage DVD player (in case we move back to Europe).
Our choice of the Daewoo DVG-3000N was THE BEST. We are so satisfied with it that we now own 2... Great price for all the features and included accessories (multi-plugs...). The ease of use is such that our youngest kid (at the time of purchase 4yr.old) directly got her hands on the remote and her favorite movie and even taught her brothers how to use the DVD player. I am pleased with the Daewoo DVD-5800. Very good prive for the options that you get. There are minor problems, but well worth the money. The transition between screen selections causes static. That is about the only bad thing i have found.

Had DVG-3000N for less than a year and the machine stopped functioning. Try to find a authorized repair shop - there isn't any. Would cost more to fix than replace. Now serves as a bulky paper-weigh.

This was my first DVD player. Direct out of the box brightness fades in and out. Same with sound. They made a bulk deal with the Wholesale Club where I bought it that it is "Non-Returnable", and must be taken to a service center. There is no answear at the only distributer located in N.J. I was told by the locale service center that Daewoo stop paying for service over a year ago and that nobody will touch them. All I can say is GOOD LUCK!

This DVD player is a great deal. It's inexpensive yet has loads of features. The two best features by far have to be: 1) It plays DVDs from every Region (not just the US) and 2) It doubles up as a Karaoke machine. I would recommend this DVD player to anyone who is looking for a inexpensive starter set.
