Pros: -Easy to use
-Sanitizing option makes for super-clean dishes
-Great for singles Cons: -Must rinse dishes WELL before loading
-Can not handle large loads
-Doesn't hold large dishes
I bought this dishwasher because I got sick of doing my dishes by hand. I've run this thing dozens of times with basically no problems. To the negative rating below, the manual clearly says that the dishwasher is not a "garberator"; the dishes need to ...

Pros: Cleans well, Removable rack allows for larger items, Service department easy to work with. Cons: None
I bought my first Danby counter top dishwasher about 3 and a half years ago, when we downsized from a 3000 sq ft house, to a little less that 1000 sq ft. As you can imagine space for things was at a premium. The new house did not have a dishwasher and I ...

Pros: It cleans and sanitizes marvellously! Uses very little water! No leaks! Cons: Noisier than a Miele dishwasher, which is equivalent to a "Mercedes" brand!
We are a family of 3. I bought Danby countertop dishwasher back in 2000 and I am still using it. It only had one minor repair: replaced the spraying arm ($20), because the plastic underneath cracked. About 2 years ago, I replaced the rack, as the ...

Perfect for the single guy or girl
by theo1958 ,Feb 09 '08
Pros: It works. It's inexpensive. Paid 205. shipped. Cons: Manual is useless. But this isn't rocket science
The following review is based upon my personal use of this dishwasher. Here are some of my observations:
1. It works great! Yes, you can do pots and pans. Yes, it will hold a full service for four.
2. It is larger than most online pictures show it. It is very similar in size and shape to the original Amana Radarange. See Link:
http://www.babyboomers.com/news/1008c.htm
3. The criticism of the facet attachment are unfounded. It holds up just fine. Remember, this is a dishwasher, not Samsonite luggage. The entire hose/facet attachement can be purchased online for 19.00 in the event you damage it.
4. Be sure to tighten the hose connections. However, do not overtighten as then are made of plastic.
5. Drying is best done by simply opening the door partway after the final rinse cylce.
6. Dishwashing Powder: If you want to use the new tablets just break one in half. A complete tablet is too much detergent and it will leave a gritty residue.
7. Watching your dishwasher work through the window in the door is more interesting than most TV shows.

Dishwasher Leaks TERRIBLY After a Few Months
by frankbooth5 ,May 14 '08
Pros: Worked well for a few months Cons: Poor quality.. will likely break within a year.
Was happy with this counter top D/W for a few months, but the appliance developed a really bad leak from underneath the unit which is impossible to reach because of the way the item is manufactured. Unfortunately this will be going in the garbage and so will my $250+.

not worth it
by adkcub ,Jan 21 '07
Pros: very low water usage Cons: poor quality, undependable
I purchased this dishwasher a year ago. I will not buy another one. Overall it is not safe to leave running unattended. The dial constantly gets stuck in the middle of a cycle. The first time this happened, I had to run out after starting it and 2 hours later when I got back it was still washing in the wash cycle. This happens constantly. It also does not have a good rinse cycle. It does not rinse the machine out before filling to rinse and any food in the machine gets sprayed back onto the dishes.

Good cleaning but needs maintenance
by steamerst ,Sep 09 '09
Pros: Small size, inexpensive, uses less water than regular sized dishwashers. Cons: Spray arm can clog with undissolved detergent grains, can take up too much countertop.
Size matters...I was a bachelor so a small countertop model like this worked well for me. When my 12 year old son came to live with me, we quickly outgrew the dish capacity of the unit everyday. The small size really only makes this practical for singles.
If you plan to use this as a countertop unit, consider carefully your available counterspace, especially beside the sink. These units are bigger than you think when you get them home!
I found the unit cleaned well, but you have to be very careful choosing your detergent. I suggest you use only LIQUID detergent. Many times, grains of detergent get between the seal of the rotating sprayer and its inlet pipe. This jams the spray arm and the load will not be cleaned at all. It then takes a frustrating time to clean out the spray pipe inlet of grains of detergent. Once I switched to gel detergent, the unit worked very well.
