Pros: Fits in my space. Works fine when it works. Cons: Broke (factory flaw) 3 months after warranty expired, flooding the ceiling below.
The machine worked well enough. But 16 months after I bought it, a hose (factory installed--inside the dishwasher) popped off (clamp failed) and started pouring water under the dishwasher. Because my floor slopes a bit toward the back, it did not flood ...

Pros: I found nothing positive about the Danby DW or their service. Cons: Neither Danby nor their Memphis servicer All In On Appliance were helpful.
I purchased a Danby DW, 17 inch to fit a space in my duplex. It never worked properly. I called service and they sent All in One Appliance Service (Memphis, TN) out who said it worked fine. The renter never used the dishwasher because it flooded the ...

I love this dishwasher
by changekeeper ,Jul 22 '09
Pros: Attractive Quiet Cleans Well Holds service for 8 Cons: Can't think of any
We purchased the Danby DDW1802W built in dishwasher 3 years ago. I use it daily and cannot be happier. I have never had a leak, it cleans wonderfully, it is quiet, I have never needed to call repair. The only thing I have had to do is empty the overflow container a couple of times. It fills up when I use too much soap. When that happens the timer seems to stop working, but if you empty the overflow it works again. Read your user manual.

Not impressed
by baddishlady ,Nov 11 '08
Pros: Fits in a small space. Attractive. Cons: Almost impossible to get parts without a really long wait.
Thirteen months after purchase, the timer broke and the engine seized. After 4 months of less than stellar support, I got a new motor. One dish cycle later, the timer broke and the motor seized... Do not go to bed after setting the dishwasher. As I did, you might awake to a dishwasher stuck in the pre-wash cycle: no water and seriously overheated.
