Pros: Makes good coffee (If you did everything precisely). Cons: Extremely difficult to use.
This machine makes good coffee but is easily the most difficult to use drip coffee maker that I have ever purchased and the precision needed to operate the machine correctly is incredible. When replacing the lift out filter carrier, it is unexpectedly ...

Looks nice, but...
by specificity ,Mar 10 '07
Pros: Looks good, brews excellent coffee. Cons: This has become a major hassle to use. Timer doesn't work.
I bought this coffee maker... was all excited about being able to set my coffee to brew at a certain time (I don't really do mornings that well.) After 3 days of excellent coffee at just the time I needed it, I was in the kitchen and it "clicked." There was a loud noise, the digital display started flashing, and the thing wouldn't work. So... we exchanged it for a new one (same model). O.k. so it brews coffee, but the clock/timer is all screwed up and has been for months. The filter basket door... REFUSES to open for me unless I pry it open with a spoon, and even then... sometimes I have to drive to the coffee shop anyway.
To be fair, the coffee always tastes good (which is good because I am a coffee snob), but the hassle to just brew a pot is not worth it. I'll be replacing this machine soon, and probably won't buy another of the same.

I love it!
by travelon53 ,Nov 10 '07
Pros: Looks really good and makes good coffee. Cons: So far, none.
I also bought mine at Target for $40. I bought it for looks-matches the stainless and black in my kitchen, and that it holds 12 cups. I prayed it made good tasting coffee. It does! I'm not sure why others have had problems either...Just follow the directions...fill pot with water to 12 cup line and pour in the water tank and it does make 12 cups. I have not experienced any drips on my counters. I program it every night to go off at 5 AM and it works every time.

Works great for me!
by crusader2000 ,Jun 16 '07
Pros: Easy set up and use. Good coffee! Has "aroma" setting to accomodate different coffee prefs. Cons: None that I know of!
Not sure what trouble the previous reviewers had, but this is an easy to use coffee maker. For the money, it does what one would expect: makes coffee. It's not a Starbucks-quality coffee machine, but it makes pretty good coffee with the Starbucks beans I use! I got mine at Target for $40. I used to have a Cuisinart Grind-n-Brew (holy cow! sounds like a jet engine), and I actually like this coffee better (maybe, in part, because I didn't pay $100 for it!).

I HATE THIS COFFEE MAKER
by caw38122 ,Aug 10 '07
Pros: Coffee is good - if you can get put together correctly. Cons: I hate this coffee pot. Buyer beware!
I purchased this coffee maker for two reasons: timer & makes 12 cups (only one I could find after several searches.) The coffee is good but the dealing with the damn thing you need to be an engineer. The lid will not stay on since the first washing. The grind holder is encased in housing & unless both are set right in a small groove the water does not drip. Water leaks onto the counter while prep or thru the night. You cannot put 12 c. in the water bin - max 10 & rest of water in bottom of pot. Grrr...
