Pros: Good price, pump driven, frothing wand, easy to clean, compact Cons: Long warm up, plenty of room for user error
I purchased the DeLonghi EC155 espresso maker over a year ago after my Black & Decker model stopped working. When I bought the Black & Decker I did not know anything about making espresso and thought all the machines were created ...

Pros: Easy to use, great product outcome Cons: you need to use 2 pods
I love cappuccino and was ready to buy my own machine. There is nothing like waking up in the morning and not having to get dressed and drive to your local coffee house, besides, it's getting very expensive in this recession.I didn't have ...

Pros: Compact unit with large water tank and 2 different sized filters Cons: Kind of touchy with fineness of grind and tamping
If you're in the market for a nice, sturdy little espresso maker that won't drain your bank account, this is a good choice. My last espresso machine was a little workhorse Capresso model that I used every day for eight years. I wanted basically the same ...

Great product
by ghalayini ,Mar 13 '07
Pros: Creamy flat white to perfection Cons: I did have problems with my first machine but warranty honoured with new machine.
I have this product as my entry level into espresso machines and I am absolutely delighted with the results. It creams the coffee bean to perfection. I haven't used the steamer but don't need to as it makes a creamy flat white.

Good Entry Level Unit
by hubieb ,Mar 29 '08
Pros: Good entry level, light use espresso machine. Cons: Touchy on tamp pressure and grind.
The price is right. The DeLonghi EC155 is a good choice for someone that wants to find out what making espresso at home is all about without breaking the bank. If you find you really like making espresso and latte drinks and want to do so daily you'll outgrow this unit quickly. However, if you're only going to "brew" something up once or twice a week it might serve your needs for a longer period of time.
I bought the DeLonghi EC155 because it was inexpensive. It has served me well and will most likely do so for a while longer.
I've found a few factors that determine the quality of the espresso to be a bit touchy: The pressure of the tamp; How even the tamp is; Fineness of the grind. Take a little extra time and try different combinations until you get one that works well and produces a good espresso with adequate crema.
Naturally, these are factors with any espresso machine, but I've found the less expensive units to be more sensitive than a $400 one.
Keep in mind that this is a $70 espresso machine. Don't expect more from it and you'll be fine.

DeLonghi EC155 -- Get it!!
by roastinghouse ,Sep 06 '08
Pros: Pours an incredible shot every time. Easy to operate, quick to clean. Cons: None yet!
I've used other DeLonghi machines in this price range and this is by far a much more superior product... My boyfriend and I both bought this machine for our homes and we're very pleased with the quality of espresso it produces. Definitely a great value. Get it and you won't be disappointed.

No warranty
by a223344 ,Feb 01 '09
Pros: I made coffee (for 3 months) Cons: It only made coffee for three months
Don't give it as a gift, Delonghi does not warranty any products without a receipt. I just threw away a $120 coffee pot that was less than 3 months old.
