Not only works perfectly and refresh the entire room, but I also love the design of this object that fit perfectly in my apt. Most of the other portable air conditioner are so ugly I cannot even watch them! 
The dehumidifier function is great and everything works perfectly with its remote controller. You can tell it's an Italian product.

Cons: Hose falls off easily, is very noisy even on the lowest setting.

It's so loud, even with ears plugs in I couldn't sleep. It does cool the air. This is our first ac and if they are all this loud, I might have to sleep in the heat with a fan. Water dripped on the floor when we moved it. We think it is because someone else returned it, so it had water condensation already in it. The hose falls off easily. It was a good price at Home Depot. 1100 BTU, so it cooled the room which is about 15x19. I read later the reason these are so noisy is the compressor inside the air conditioner. If you can tolerate the noise produced, you can get the room cooled.
