Pros: easy to use and clean Cons: noisy, water tank
My wife and I purchased the Bar 32 about five months ago.We chose DeLonghi based on our positive experience with our first DeLonghi, which served us well for many years. Like the first model we use this one every day. The Bar32 give excellent crema and ...
Pros: Makes a wonderful latte. Cons: A bit noisy and vibrates when pump is in use.
I received this machine for Christmas from my Dad. I was quite impressed with it from the beginning. I have never owned an espresso machine of my own, even though I am a huge coffee lover. I have two coffee makers in my kitchen to keep up with me and ...
Pros: Great espresso, thick crema, beautiful to look at. Best machine I have ever owned. Cons: Confusing instruction manual, useless "pod" holder for people who don't know how to scoop coffee.
This is my third DeLonghi espresso machine over a period of about ten years. I work at home, so my espresso machines get a workout. I've had this one for about a week now, and have been totally satisfied thus far. This makes the best espresso and latté ...
Pros: Easy to use & clean
Clear reservoir
Impresses friends & relatives Cons: Plastic parts feel a little cheap
Other machines were cheaper
larger mugs won't fit
I bought this little machine after doing a lot of research. It produces wonderful shots of espresso (if you tamp the grounds down with the right amount of pressure) with a lot of crema. There is no timer on the espresso, so you can judge for yourself ...
Pros: Great espresso, easy to use, great froth, great bargain. Cons: The warmup time, short frothing arm, need to take plastic base out for larger cups.
I had been making espresso with a Moko expess for quite a while and when it came time to make a change, I studied for months for a machine that was inexpensive yet versatile. The Bar32 came at a GREAT price ($30! on Ebay) plus it works every bit as ...
Pros: Delicious espresso/cappuccino/latte. easy to use and clean up. Durable. Cons: A little noisy, water tank could be better quality, frothing arm could be higher.
I have NEVER made espresso, cappuccino or latte before and this was my first attempt. I couldnt see paying the prices at the coffee shops when you can make it at home. so i started researching the machines and I ended up with this product after ALOT of ...
Pros: Good coffee, Nice look, Reliable and best relation value, quality and price Cons: Scratch fast
Exaggerated foam
Noisy
Fragile
To begin, I'm a "Québécois" who likes espresso and with time, like other things, I'm getting more demanding. I own a DeLonghi Bar32 and happy with it. It's not the best, but it does its job. However, if you planning to buy a real espresso machine, look ...
Pros: Makes great Espresso and Cappuccino Cons: Little loud
We always owned an Espresso machine. We had a very expensive Krups but the durability isn't so good so after 3 years it didn't work as good as before and I got my husband this one for Christmas since he loves to drink his Espressos twice a day. The ...
Pros: easy to use, great espresso, ESE certified machine Cons: none considering the price
After I finally grew tired of my Mr. Coffee espresso machine, I decided I was going to own an "ESE" certified pod machine. This is a trademark managed by the Italian government and there are restrictions and standards that must be followed before a ...
The best Espresso Machine by adolphsons ,Jan 14 '09
Pros: Quick and easy to use. Makes a great capo and espresso. Cons: It's a little loud.
This is a wonderful machine which I cannot believe I lived without it for so long. I buy Starbucks Italian roast coffee and fill up the holders instead of using the expensive pods. I like it much better because I can adjust just how strong to make it.
Pros: Great tasting espresso and very easy to use. Cons: takes up a bit more space on the counter than the Krups pump.
My DeLonghi makes me glad my Krups pump machine bit the dust. This is soooo much better! Better crema, and much better frother than the Krups "perfect frother" produced!
Starbucks doesn't call to me in the morning any more!
Ease and Perfection for any skill level by saloman12 ,Dec 24 '05
Pros: Inexpensive, makes a quality espresso, easy to use Cons: a touch loud
I picked this us just the other day and have'nt gotten my hands off of it since. I am by no means a coffee buff, but rather someone who was tired of spending upwards of $5 for something I could make on my own.
I chose DeLonghi on its reputation, as well I bought it on good reference from a family friend, who after returning the Krups, baught this model. and because it just seemed sturdier than the other machines in this price range.
I had never made a cup of espresso before, but after about 45 minutes I had it down. Although the manual was confusing, I pieced together the information it gave, as well as my experience watching Baristas from coffee shops make it. For me, frothing milk was the toughest part, but something that wasnt tough to grasp.
My machine came with handy little pods, so the cleanup was minimal, and as for the product, it was just as I had experienced it at coffee shops.
After reading the other reviews, it seems obvious that my opinion is the majority. Great product.
I purchased this machine earlier this year for a great sale price at Lowe's Home improvement. It is very easy to use and does a fine job with espresso but the frother spits out hot water, making for a watery cappuccino or latte. PLEASE NOTE: I had to exchange this machine after using it for a month because it started to leak water from around its seals. The second machine is holding up better, but I don't expect it to last longer then a year. Even with a year warranty, service is also be a problem. Since I do not live near a DeLonghi service center, I will have to mail the product for repairs at my own expense.
Pros: Great delicious espresso coffee Cons: The pump makes some noise, but not bad. Would love to find a silent machine.
This model looks exactly like the 42Bar and other retro machines. It makes creamy coffee 200 times better than the same type model from Krups (my sister has Krups, I gave it to her for Christmas but overpaid for it considering the type of coffee Krups makes in comparison). I was impressed with the creamy espresso that comes out of this Delonghi machine. The pods are OK, but I'm used to a different stronger Latino coffee like Pilon, Cafe Crema or Italian espresso Coffees. Every espresso cup comes out with at least 1/3 inch of cream on top.
No regrets here, I would recommend this machine to any coffee lover looking for a good machine but spending no more than about $150-175. Big transparent water tank is very convenient so you don't have to worry every time is there enough water and yo know how much water there is at all times. Very easy to use and clean.
