Excellent Convection Toaster Oven with Rotisserie!

by madtrisha , Mar 09 '07
Pros: Easy to use/clean, rotisserie is great, Cooks food very quickly, lots of accessories included
Cons: None.
This oven is incredible! We used it as soon as it came out of the box and have been happy since. Has many different functions that can be used for almost any food type. The ease of use is also great, very straight forward. We were looking for a ...

Can replace everything else, except the Microwave
by uaflyer ,Mar 26 '04
Pros: Easy to use, clean and predictable cooking results
Cons: Pizza pan not non-stick. Door not removeable for dishwasher.
I was looking for a rotisserie capability, but was not buying a Ronco. I never really liked DeLonghi s design until now. This oven looks great. It was a heart breaker to replace my Cuisinart Digital, which was so easy to use. I have owned two toastmasters and a Black & Decker.

This oven is so easy to use with the Digital Controls that are excellent. The oven has 3 rack levels (not just one) The only items not coated with Porcellin is the Pizza pan and the wire racks and Rotisserie. (I always wanted easy to clean trays) Pizza Setting is two buttons that a child could operate.

The Rotisserie is a great design than reduces risk of burns or mess, the whole thing slides out.

It has an oven light and a nice curved glass front

The fan was defective right out of the box
by monsieurmorin ,Dec 03 '04
Pros: Nice design
Cons: Inflexible customer service even when item was defective from day one.
I bought this item expecting quality. It looks like it would do a good job but when we turned it on the fan blade was hitting something inside its housing. Since the store where I bought it had no more, I called DeLonghi customer service. The problem is that I bought this as a present and by the time the box was opened 40 days had gone by since the purchase. DeLonghi will not replace it after 30 days. They expect me to bring it to a "service center" 30 or 40 miles from where I live. If I had been using it for a month I would almost understand their attitude, but this was defective out of the box. So much for quality control and quality customer service.

DeLonghi® Convection Oven
by sadicalrister ,Mar 14 '07
Pros: Simple to use, easy read dials, cooks perfectly
Cons: door handle should be larger to ensure that you do not touch hot door
I purchased this convection oven to replace a toaster oven. My husband was very skeptical about my purchase. I use to cook pizzas for the children the most. The more I use the oven the more I love it. It bakes cookies to perfection. It cooks very evenly and never burns. It has a timer and is very easy to set and use. It has many temperatures and settings. It does not make a lot of noise like some convection ovens do. It does not take up a lot of space in my small kitchen. It is very easy to clean. It has a Rotisserie that is excellent. This is the best convection oven for its prize and size.

Love it!
by sdc65 ,Oct 26 '04
Pros: Easy to use, large size, does practically everything, looks great on my counter
Cons: None so far...
I just received the DeLonghi AD1099 yesterday..and was very impressed with the size and features it offered. I tried it on the convection setting and it did a great job at cooking the food and it cut the cooking time by a considerable amount. I like that the interior stays lit during the cooking cycle, because you can easily see when your food is ready. I just browsed through the instruction manual and it is very easy to use. I also tried roasting chestnuts, which is hard to do in most ovens (either they burn or stay hard), but in the convection mode the shells peeled back and they were very tender inside..I have only had it a day, but already, im impressed..By the way, the Costco website offers it for only 179.00 compared to the 299-399 on other websites.

Poor Choice

Pros: None.
Cons: It doesn't work.
This is one of those things that I really wanted to work, but just never did. When it first arrived, the wire racks and pans wouldn't stay in their slots. Finally, after many phone calls, I took apart the insides and reshaped the interior walls.

Now the program switch doesn't work. It is now useless. I now own a $400 prop for a cook book.
