Cons: ocassionaly clumsy style, the not-quite-polished feel of a newer author

...you'll like this book. If you can handle a plot that blends genetic engineering with some horror elements and has a former 'cop' (who is female!) as the main character-get this book.

I read and enjoyed the earlier Anita Blake books and I also enjoy, tough not quite as much, Charlaine Harris' vampire stories. If you liked them, I promise you'll like this book and will be hoping for a sequel.
