Pros: Original settings, nice characters Cons: Weak lead
Kim Harrison’s Dead Witch Walking is an interesting fantasy tale set in an alternate reality where vampires, witches, demons, and other creatures are real. The book describes a virus that killed off most of humankind, leaving only those ‘other’ ...
Pros: Likeable heroine, neatly avoids vampire orgy cliches, funny lines, doesn't take itself too seriously Cons: Slightly weak opening premise
Rachel Morgan is in trouble. A witch and a bounty hunter with a string of captures gone bad, she's looking to break out of her contract with the Interlander Agency. But the last person to try and break their contract ended up in bits and pieces, and ...
Pros: Interesting supernatural book. Cons: Some parts were slow. Some characters were developed much.
I had noticed Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison in the bookstore more than once before I finally picked it up. I waited on getting it because I already had so many other books around waiting to read. I recently read the book and did ...
Dead Witch Walking is the first in what promises to be an interesting series by Kim Harrison. It had a good plot, good characterization with some very interesting characters; Harrison has a good readable style. She reminds me of Laurell K ...
Pros: light and entertaining supernatural fantasy, excellent villains, brazen hero looking for action Cons: Rachel's flightiness makes it difficult to stay focused sometimes

Pros: fun characters, great premise for the mix of supernatural/modern day mix and there is humor! Cons: ocassionaly clumsy style, the not-quite-polished feel of a newer author
