Pros: Price with deals, decent battery life, Power and Flexibility Cons: Dell Construction Shortcuts!
It's been a while since I wrote a computer desktop or notebook review. Heck, it's been a while since I had to purchase one... heck, nearly two years ago actually. Well, as everything in the world of computers, you'll eventually need a ...
Pros: Good value, good performance Cons: Looks kinda cheap
I received my 6000D about a week ago and have been using it off and on as my desktop replacement. I ordered a 1.6ghz, 60 gig hd 7200 rpm, ATI 128mb X300 video card,(around $1200 total). Lots of different random thoughts regarding this beautiful piece of ...
Pros: Superb features and configuration options--Dell delivered on time exactly as requested Cons: Not a featherweight or small sized laptop if that is your prime criteria
I bought a Dell 6000D laptop 2 weeks ago, and I was sufficiently impressed with it that I had to write this review. I bought the laptop to do a little of everything: portable but powerful, digital photography, desktop replacement during military moves, ...
I purchased this and about a month out of the box the LCD started to have issues. The screen would just turn blue or pink or whatever color it wanted. Dells tech support was worthless and continually kept telling me that it was just software problems. ...
Pros: Nice screen, sound, etc. Easy to upgrade HDD. Cons: Heavy. Laptop cabinet is okay, not spectacular.
I've had my Dell for at least 6 mos. now and I love this thing. It's a bit heavy, but it does alot. Replacing the HDD was a cinch, saved a buck and ordered the small hdd to put my 60gig in there. The 128 meg graphics cars handles my games. Good sound. ...
Pros: Elegant design. Cons: Unstable wireless with the internal Dell (made by Broadcom) wireless card.
Purchase an Inspiron 6000 with an internal Dell wireless card (model 1470, made by Broadcom). The wireless connection never worked. It was always unstable (changes speed and drops connections) to the point that an external hard drive connected to my ...
Pros: very thin. Lightweight and has a wide Screen Cons: not 3.5 drive, not removable hardrive
This was my first labtop I have ever bought. I am no expert on labtops. I like the Look, the size, the speed, low cost and battary life. The look, its not very heavy. I like the look alot because it does not have an ordnary screen It has a wide ...
Pros: Economically priced.
Good variety of features offered. Cons: Terrible customer service.
Product quality far below industry standards.
I ordered the Dell Inspiron 6000 on March 3, 2005. I didn't recieve it until March 21. It was late. Ok, no problem, I am understanding. I recieved the computer and attemted to connect to the internet via the modem. At first I was able to then I ...
Pros: Excellent value, 10/10 for aesthetics, top brand with guarantee, excellent screen quality Cons: It maybe could be cheaper for the specs given.
If value is what you want, look no further. This computer has all the aesthetic qualities of a top of the range laptop, whilst not compromising quality of the components. It has a brilliant screen quality. Dell is a leading brand and they have really made a break through with this model.
excellent note book for the price by gedasarath ,Jan 26 '06

Not perfect but pretty good for the price. by acheronswimmer ,May 23 '05
Pros: Seems sturdy. Clean silver look. Easy access audio controls. Cons: Mouse has a mind of its own. Speakers are covered by wrists while typing. Heavy.
Bought this system about a month ago as a desktop replacement. I didn't want to spend too much and I didn't plan on traveling with it a lot. Dell delivered ahead of schedule with all appropriate software and hardware. Upgrades: XP Pro, Wi-Fi(a/b/g, 60 Gig, dvd burner, Bluetooth. Total cost $1000 and change.
The system seems to work okay. I have had to re-boot a couple of time due to lock up and I've been repeatedly frustrated by the mouse engaging when I haven't clicked or not engaging when I do. I've also noticed some problems with personal settings for users other than administrator but that's probably more of a Windows XP problem.
I didn't get the upgraded screen and now I'm thinking I should have. Screen could definitely be clearer.
Pros: Great machine for a bargain price! Cons: Aesthetic design is tired and outdated.
The prices have dropped since I bought mine at $950, but I would pay that over again as it's a solid value for a fine computer. Mine is for travel and taking work home with me, but I have even run 3-d CAD on mine and it runs fine. The screen looks great too. For the money, its a sure thing. If you have more to spend, and want the high end look, lighter case, or premium service, you should look elsewhere, but for those of us who like a square deal... this is it! I bought the cool carbon fiber snap on cover to dress it up a bit. This makes a huge difference to me for under $50 it looks a whole lot better (still not cool like a mac). The case is ugly without it.
