Pros: Price, connections, power, easy set up Cons: small remote, large case
After much searching for a Home Theatre receiver, i finally decided on this one. The others I compared were various Yamaha receivers as I had good experience with them before.
This unit has pretty much what the average person would need for...
Pros: Great sound, low price, easy setup Cons: No Svideo switching
Like the previous review, I spent a lot of time on my decision, researching all options. I had decided to purchase the Yamaha V630 which costs $399. The salesman asked if I had looked at the Denon which I hadn't (I considered Denon too rich for my ...
I just bought this to replace a low end Kenwood package system that I had for about 5 years. I had no idea how bad the sound from the Kenwood was until I heard how clear it was through this Denon. For now I still have the old speakers, but the sound is ...
I bought this about a month ago and am not disappointed at all. Like the other reviewers noted 70 watts is plenty here. The sound is crisp clear. I don't have a problem with hearing anything. I am worried that I will bump the volume and wake up the whole house. The auto feature is great as well. With my wife always saying there is no difference between surround sound and stereo, this really makes a difference. Watching a ballgame is great. When the announcers are off you really hear the crowd around you just like you were there. I don't know how many times my head has spun around thinking there was something behind me when it was an off screen sound.
The remote is overloaded with tiny buttons. I upgraded to the Sony RM-AV3000 Universal Learning Remote Control off ebay for way under half off the listed price. This makes every thing easy-my 8yr old loves it and has no problem with it.
For the price $125 + shipping off Ubid-you can't go wrong.
This Receiver is crystal clear, loud and meets budget+ by racamero ,May 07 '05
Pros: Big, accurate sound with great flexibility and every option you would need. Cons: Bad remote. That's about it.
I bought this receiver on recommendation from London Audio and it is great so far. I am powering two MX-4 Tannoys in the front and two MX-1's in the rear. With the addition of a Velodyne 375 watt self-powered sub this system is making me listen to every album I've ever owned again.
Of course, this has been done on a budget and this system is great considering the relatively low cost.
The one downside is that the remote for the receiver is poor. Instead of being a dedicated, simple remote it attempts at "universal" and fails.
