Pros: Ultra smooth video playback with latest NTSC processing and incredible 1080i output and upconversion Cons: Expensive, over-exagerated importance of 1080i... the real news is 1080P!!!
When Denon unveiled it's brand new flagship DVD / SACD hybrid multi-format player at CES this past January, lips were a-flappin'!!! As a participant of the show, I got to see many incredible products, truly the culmination of some significant advances ...
Pros: Video quality, audio quality Cons: Price, no next-generation compatibility
This DVD player is undoubtedly the finest standard-definition DVD player on the market (with the notable exception of its own evolutionary successor, the 5910CI). As the owner of a HD-DVD player and the frequent viewer of a friend's Blu-Ray player, I ...
Pros: Qualify for class A sound. Very quite engine noise. Easy of use. Cons: Pricy when new. 1080i is kind of fuzzy than my lesser Elite's 1080p.

Bad experience with DVDA1XV the Asia equivalent of DVD 5910 by ajzz69 ,Apr 10 '06
Pros: Ease of used. Cons: No technical support when breakdown.
I just wanted to share my experience with everyone on both the Denon high end audio that I bought last fall.
I bought both the AVCA1XV (Asia equivalent of AVR 5805) and DVDA1XV (the equivalent of DVD 5910). I do agree that these are marvelous equipment but unfortunately my AVR breakdown after less than 3 months and Denon took almost 3 months to repair it. The same happen to my DVD player and after more than one month Denon is still unable to resolve the problem.
