Those of you that are familiar with my reviews are probably also aware that I can't pass up a new product by L`Oreal or Olay. I admit it, I have no willpower when it comes to these two brands. Now, that's not to say that all of their products are great, ...
Pros: The scrub works great, Only have to use 2-3x per week. Cons: Post treatment is horrible, Pricey for a store brand.
Just a year ago I wouldn't have thought about using this product; I had extremely sensitive skin that couldn't tolerate a regular skin cleanser let alone a harsh dermabrasion scrub. Since I no longer have sensitive skin (thanks to copper peptide ...
Pros: it does exfoliate Cons: doesn't really make that much of a noticeable difference
I'm always looking for something, anything, to make my skin look better. Years of having constant break-outs and years spent smoking have done a number on my skin, but I'm not the type that's going to be heading off to a plastic surgeon anytime soon. ...
Pros: Easy to use, somewhat cheaper than other kits available, moisturizer is nice Cons: Didn't really improve my skin as much as I expected, moisturizer only SPF15
Up until three years ago, I had pretty awful skin. It was consistently oily and acne prone. After a round of Accutane, my skin was much improved in the acne-department, but I now had to contend with combination skin (oily in some parts, dry in other ...
Pros: Brightened skin tone, less noticable wrinkles, smooth makeup application, great short-term results. Cons: Results temporary, can get in eyes/mouth when rinsing, expensive, minor temporary irritation
As I placed the sleek silver box containing the L'Oreal ReFinish microdermabrasion kit in my cart at Wal-Mart, I caught myself glancing around to make sure no one was watching. I'm still fairly young, young enough that I feared that other shoppers ...
I hesitated before buying this for two reasons. The first is, it is a new product that no one I know has used. The second, more important reason, is all of the warnings on the package made me wonder if using this product is a good idea at all. There ...
Pros: skin feels soft and smooth, adds healthy glow Cons: may be expensive.
updated - may cause freckles.
I am having a great experience with this product. I am 29, had severe case of acne in my teens and although I am pretty much over that phase right now, I do occasionally have breakouts. The acne has left me with blotchy and uneven skin tone. So, my ...
Pros: Affordable, Comes with sunscreen, Easy to use Cons: Sunscreen is not oil-free, that would have been helpful
I have wanted to try a microdermabrasion kit for a long time and I found this kit on sale at Target for less than $15 so I went for it. This particular kit came with an extra tube of the sunscreen so it was worth the gamble even if the dermabrasion ...
I am only 20 but its never too early to take care of your skin and this product really has kept my skin looking great, feeling smooth, and helping to keep blemishes away. If you are looking for a product to reverse severe sun damage i do not think this ...
Pros: Feels like new skin, lotion is heaven. Cons: Price. But really not too terribly expensive.
Years ago, I bought this because it looked like a good product. It was about $20 I think, from Walmart. There are ones for the body and for the face, I bought the one for the face, as I think my loofah does a great job exfoliating for right now. When I ...
Pros: Exfoliates well. Leaves skin soft. Cons: Difficult to maintain correct pressure; no exfoliation tool; expensive.
My friend brought over the Loreal Micro Dermabrasion Kit, and I like the way it made my skin look the first time, but it's hard to keep the right pressure on your face through the entire treatment. My fingers got tired and I got bored. ALso, if you press too hard, I think it would be bad for your skin because of the crystals in the exfoliating cream. I bought a microdermabrasion kit at Target this weekend from Spa Sciences. Instead of having to rub the exfoliating cream on with your hand, it has an exfoliating tool with a replaceable soft foam disk. It worked fast, and since it only cost $29, I'm happy about it. The creams are as good as the Loreal ones, and you also get the exfoliating tool, which makes the job easier. If I were shopping for microdermabrasion I'd definitely pick the Spa Science one over the Loreal.
Pros: The day you use this, your skin looks and feels great. Cons: It's not a magic pill for sun damage!
I use the exfoliator 2-3 times a week. Right after you rinse off the exfoliator your skin is as smooth as it will ever be. It's silky smooth and feels great. My skin also looks smooth and bright on the days I use it. I do not use this moisturizer faithfully. It's just like any other SPF lotion, it's as good as any other out there. It did not make my skin oily or dry, it was just right. But I still prefer my daily SPF lotion I am used to. The true test for me - is getting rid of some of the sun damage I have. I am light skinned with freckles and some sun damage. The improvement on the sun damage has been slight. I'm not sure how much an exfoliator can really help with the sun damage though. For the price, I would buy it again, (try to buy it on sale) your skin feels great even after one use. Be realistic about other claims.
Pros: easy to use, smooths skin, gentle Cons: only available as a kit
I have terribly dry skin and have trouble finding something gentle enough to exfoliate my skin with. So i tried this product. At first it made me break out. But if you read the package, that's normal. Its resurfacing the skin and in regular use of it, it brings the dirt up and out. So for the first few weeks, breakouts are normal as you are removing the dirt stuck down in the pores. After just one use you will feel a huge difference in the skin. It's so smooth and clean. I have very sensitive skin so i only use this product once a week. But i would not go without it!
I didn't care for the post treatment though. I prefer to use my normal brand of moisturizer with it. Hopefully someday they offer the refinish cream alone. I have tried other dermabrasion products and this is the only one i liked. It's very gentle even on sensitive skin.
Pros: Quick, easy, instant noticeable results. Cheap alternative to costly beautician visits. Cons: Makes skin a little sore & sensitive immediately after use.
I have used the ReFinish kit three times now and am very pleased with the results. My skin is soft and has a glow to it when it usually looks rather dull. Only three uses and I can already see a noticeable difference in my fine lines especially my forehead and crepe-y eye area. I have noticed slight sensitivity after using the scrub and don't think it would be suitable for people with very sensitive skin. After the third use my face is a little flushed looking which I have read is a sign of collagen production so that has to be good! I will definately keep using the product. I find it quick and easy to do and am loving the results.
Silky Smooth Skin.....! by alcnwonderlnd ,Mar 11 '05
Pros: silky smooth skin and a radiant glow at a reasonable price Cons: doesnt help fade dark spots dramatically
This product is really great considering it is one of the only dermabrasion products available at drugstores. After washing, my skin was really smooth and I didnt experience any irritation. This isnt for a dramatic change, but if you want a more even skin tone and silkier skin at a very low price this is your product.
