The only MP3 player I would get

by sbambawale , Mar 14 '03
Pros: car audio compatibility, features, size, battery life, sound quality, additional memory slot
Cons: learning curve
Love gadgets, love music, love being out and about - so why didn't have an MP3 player before this? Simple - nothing so far had the right mix of features and price.

I had my eye on this product for quite a while before I saw the Fry's ad that...

good handheld MP3 player..needs to come down in price a bit

by oneballjaywax , May 30 '02
Pros: Very nice sound, pretty good battery life, easy song transfer over to device
Cons: POWER JACK,playback in car little tricky SMALL buttons...hard to use
After waiting about 2 months, reading what reviews I could find and looking at other music player options decided to pick up the Digisette AR-300 (aka DUO-64).

The Sony NetMD minidisc player was a very close choice when I was looking at...

Lots of Pros and just a few drawbacks

by hrisko , Apr 30 '03
Pros: Small, convenient, easy to add extra memory, cheap
Cons: acts a little odd in cassette player with music program search
I bought this on a lark. It just seemed like with a 6 disc CD changer in the trunk I would never really need any additional music. But I like to hear the latest songs and it's a LOT of trouble to pick them out, rip them, put them on a single CD, burn...

Excellent in the car! No extra wires!

by jmailrecv , Feb 21 '04
Pros: Easy to use in a car stereo Good, competent MP3 player all around
Cons: Can't be used as a USB hard drive
The world is not short of good MP3 players. There are fat ones, thin ones, fast ones, slow ones; players with buttons, players with dials, players with free subscriptions and players with smiles. MP3 players are becoming commodities, like, say, hammers. ...

Dual Purpose Mp3 player, largely overlooked!

by eoweik , Sep 18 '03
Pros: Plays mp3s on 99% of tape decks; expandable to 192MB; rechargeable with long-lasting batteries.
Cons: Small buttons, lack of lcd screen, and controls that take getting used to.
This review is much more reason than the previous 3 about this product. The beauty of this product is that it is a rechargeable, expandable, mp3 player that also happens to allow you to play mp3s on virtually any tape deck. This should not be purchase ...

Warning - Buyer Beware

by mcgarvies , Jun 10 '02
Pros: Small, compact, pretty easy to use
Cons: Short Battery life, Duo Manager software is buggy, ***Digisette will not back the product!!
The battery life is short (under two hours). You need to have an extra battery ($15) and swap them in the charger. If you are away from the charger and the battery dies - you’re out of luck. The DUO Manager (proprietary software to manage audio files)...

Memory corrupted on Win XP

by dkl64 , Oct 14 '02
Pros: Works in your cassette player
Cons: Memory corrupted with Win XP
This product worked OK for me with Win 2000, but I got a new Win XP computer. I downloaded the software for Win XP, and it CORRUPTED THE DEVICE'S MEMORY. Tech support said, "Sorry." The device is now inoperable. I tried to refresh the unit with old...
