It takes a fair amount of determination to get me into the closet and lug out my heavy duty vacuum. However, having a cat that sheds like crazy, I now have to find that determination more often.

Most of my floors are hard surfaces and this vacuum is perfect for everyday use. It is lightweight and cordless making it easy to use. Also, it is fairly powerful enough to pick up light dust, dirt and pet hair. It's basically a hand vacuum on a stick with a wide broom-like attachment at the end.

Now I find myself only using the big vac once a month to give the carpeted areas and rest of the house a thorough vacuuming.

In short, this is better than just a broom because there is no need for a dustpan and it captures more dirt since it also is a vacuum. It won't replace a heavy duty vacuum but it will help you to vacuum a LOT less.

Finally, it stores away easily as it takes up very little space.
