I tried the sample because I was intrigued by the name. I thought it wouldn't be to my taste. It seemed designed to complement Donna Karan's business wear, and I was expecting a crisp, tweedy fragrance, while I am more inclined to romantics and florals. I was amazed at the softness and cozy aura of the long-lasting fragrance. I feel draped in luxury when wearing it. Even though it evokes a sense of warmth for me, it is not too heavy for summer wear, being a floral with high note of bergamot and middle notes of jasmine and lily of the valley.


Especially enveloping is the fragrance expression in the cleansing lotion and body lotion. These are quite pricey, however, but can be found as bonuses when purchasing other products in the line. The body lotion runs about $40, and the body powder is over $30 retail. They are hot items on eBay, and are often bid up very close to the retail price.

Cashmere Mist comes in about any form one can imagine, including shampoo and conditioner, hand lotion, and the aforementioned products.

If you like a soft, feminine floral, you will probably love Cashmere Mist.

This had it's 10th anniversary last year and I think has become a classic perfume to me. Not a heavy, cloying or nauseating perfume at all. It's soft floral and woods, that are powdery and clean. For an edt it lasts on me! That's rare, most edt's all seem to fade so quickly these days for me. For the prices, they should last at least half a day. (5-6 hours) When I was younger and this perfume came out I thought it was so nice and different. At the time there wasn't anything like it. Only in the last few years have the perfumes like this started to come out. (like the "clean" line)The campaign was actually very peaceful. Although I don't see it much anymore. This is feminine, clean, calming. How do you feel when you wear something nice, and go out? That's what cashmere mist is all about.

Pros: Cheaper.An immense disapppointment after the mystery of the Cashmere Perfume.
Cons: Doesn't have the fragrance of the perfume--smells light cheap and fluffy.

Always loved Donna Karen Cashmere Perfume. Suddenly it is not available and we have "Cashmere Mist" instead which falls way short of the depth of the Cashmere Perfume. Mist is lighter, sweeter with no depth or mystery.

Pros: Wonderful scent, pure romance. Reasonably priced and can be purchased at the local mall.

Quickly became my favorite scent. I ran out of my first purchase and my life partner ran out and purchased another.
She said she loves how it lingers, ever so lightly after I leave for work. It gives her gentle reminders of me throughout the day. It's the only cologne I wear. Light enough for work and romantic enough for a night out.

Pros: Not a strong scent, but stays with you for most of the day.
Cons: Extremely difficult to find and expensive (but worth it!)

I fell in love with this scent after discovering a sample for it in a magazine. I looked all over for it and finally, just after Christmas, bought the largest bottle I could find. I'm a bit younger than you would expect for this perfume (22) but I've found that a lot of my friends enjoy it as well. The best thing is that my boyfriend even likes it- and he warned me that he hates almost all scents!

I would suggest this to anyone who is having difficulty finding a scent that feels right to them, at least as a starting point. I was originally afraid that it was going to overwhelm me, but was pleasantly surprised.

This fragrance is extremely hard to find now in perfume stores. I would recommend getting it for yourself if you are very "feminine" and if you want to buy a present for that friend who loves to go get manicure and pedicures together. This is aimed more towards the late 20's and above crowd, so I wouldn't recommend buying this for a girl between the ages of 18-25, unless her style is very classic.

Pros: It compliments every season and occasion. Unique, elegant and classy.
Cons: Absolutely none... yes its pricey, but worth every penny

I started wearing Cashmere Mist when it first was introduced. I fell in love with it. I am extremely picky and NOT trendy when it comes to fragrance. I am loyal to my scent and am not one to wear assorted fragrances or to change scents often. No need to with Cashmere Mist. It compliments every season and occasion. I wear it to bed every night too..it is so beautiful! It owns its own unique tune and I just hope they never stop making it. (Everyone always compliments me on my scent. I wonder why its not advertised/marketed?
