Pros: Beats the competition. Cons: Possible loose bolts.
Let me begin by saying that Drake produces one product… bindings. By focusing on one type of product it is hard for them to go wrong. Their entire line of bindings has a large range of models from beginner to pro, and all of which are of...
After getting my new board, I wanted to invest in a nice set of bindings. I'm a firm believer that the bindings are more important than the board and I would rather spend more money on bindings since that is the one piece of equipment you would most...
Pros: fast strap, looks cool, feels solid Cons: a little pricey.
I currently ride the Limited Transition 157 with the Drake F-60 Bindings. I initially purchased Nidecker S450(I think) Bindings which were entry level bindings. I noticed that the newer bindings had a toe ramp and thought perhaps it would help in...
Pros: Best design on the market Cons: No quick release on highback
Drake is by far tops when it comes to bindings. The secret to their success is top notch quality, innovative features, and common sense design technique. The F-50 is their mid level binding, which features all of the basic design elements that make up...
Pros: Good rachet movement, excellent quality for the price. Cons: Nothing really comes to mind.
This is the best made binding you can get for the price. This binding has metal rachets which grab better than that plastic crap and will last more than one season. Another nice thing about the Drake binding is that the rachet movement is VERY nice....
Pros: Great control, easy to get in and out of, and just about everything else. Cons: The one problem is that the bindings occasionally to freeze.
The Drake F-50 strap-in-bindings are, by far, the best bindings that I have every used. I judge that by the level of control that I get, which is incredible, the ease of use, which is very easy, you just strap it in and take-off, and by the comfort,...
The only problem I had with these was no quick release. But for the price they were exceptional. These are not top of the line for professionals, but for a beginner or even for advanced they are aceptable.
Pros: Good if this is what you want Cons: Not so good for ankle support.
These type of bindings are rather nice and good to use, but yet when your snowboarding and you just want to click in real fast, these take a little effort. I ride a Burton board with Burton bindings, similar to these, but yet at times I want to switch to...
These are a good buy. Bindings are usable almost forever or until you brake them. these are good bindings at $75.00 for many years its a good buy. I never had a problem with them. Drake F-50's are very nice looking attractive bindings with a comfortable...
Pros: Worth every penny! Cons: Expensive, mine were about $160US
Wow! I just got back from trying out my new Drake F-50's for the first time and they worked perfectly. This was my 3rd set of bindings in 3 weeks. Let me explain. I decided to buy snowboard equipment this year and quit renting. After doing tons of ...
Pros: Good design, Looks Cons: Quality of materials, loose screws, Customer Service sucks
To sum it up, the right toe strap broke after about 5 hours of riding time and both the local dealer (Peter Glenn Ski & Sports) and Drake are still dragging their feet. The dealer gave me a temporary toe strap from a medium (mine are large), but even...
Pros: Lightweight, Cool colors, ease of release. Cons: Front part that goes over boot laces is shredded.
Upon recommendation I bought these bindings on clearance at the end of last season. I love them! The are so light the whole board is like a dream, especially on powder. They strap in fast and release even faster. I can release as I am drifting into the lift line.
Initially I started with a set of K2 clicker bindings and K2 Yak boots. But I found that I was sitting in the snow putting them on as much as the strap in people. Plus the clickers seemed loose most of the time. I once boarded down a steep powder run with only two screws holding the binding to the board! I had to resort to locktite to keep them from loosening up. I have not had this problem with the Drakes.
I will never go back to step in bindings as long as I can get a fast, quality strap in like the Drakes!
