Pros: insane amount of features, space, transfer for the money Cons: occasional outages
Summary: For many years, hosting a website was a costly prospect. More recently, costs have come down significantly, partially due to more competition, partially due to the decreasing cost of the hardware necessary to support a host. These are definitely good ...

Pros: Inexpensive with quick responses to my questions; access to server command line. Cons: Some problems with their servers being blacklisted by Comcast; annoyingly unfunny newsletters.
Summary: First, some background: I have been a Dreamhost customer for almost 8 years. My primary use is to host a couple of domains and forward email addresses. I also have a few personal web pages a couple of which are database driven. For my modest ...

Pros: Plenty of space, lots of features Cons: Slow, poor control panel
Summary: I switched from my old host, Hostright UK, to DreamHost. I had been thinking of switching from my current host for sometime, and at the time DreamHost seemed the best host to move to. I signed up on the cheapest package, Crazy Domain Insane!, which ...

Pros: Tons of disk and bandwidth, shared servers not severely overloaded, lots of goodies. Cons: None of the pros matter when your servers are down or acting flaky.
Summary: I switched from Pair Networks to Dreamhost in summer of 2004 because Pair Networks was just too expensive despite spectacular reliability. Dreamhost offered much more in the way of features, disk and bandwidth. I didn't expect quite the same uptime as ...

highly unreliable
Summary: Initially, DreamHost can actually be anyone's dream hosting service, super storage space, super bandwidth, and which both still growing weekly - and all at a low price! Unfortunately, the "you get what you pay for" holds true here - only in a span of

Pros: Lots of bandwidth & storage.
Helpful support.
Tons of documentation
Loads of features. Cons: Not as reliable as some other hosts.
Uptime is not what it should be.
Summary: I like dreamhost. I like the features. They really do offer a lot of features! But, my sites go down fairly often. Sometimes ten minutes.. sometimes a little longer. They are friendly, courteous, and they (eventually) fix any issue. I like them

Pros: cheap Cons: unreliable, slow tech support , no telephone number to call, constant email server problems.
Summary: I have been with Dreamhost since 1999 and in the last few years I have had problem after problem. Sql servers were slow and not working, email servers are down almost every month. Right now I cannot access my email since their mail servers are down
