Pros: Does a good job of converting albums. Cons: no dust cover.
This unit isn't for everybody. If you are a SERIOUS audiophile, you will probably not find this unit up to your standards. If you are a music buff with a huge collection of vinyl, and you simply want to convert it to mp3 files, this might just be the ...

Pros: cheap, nice looking, easy to use Cons: VISTA users have to do extra install steps
I paid $80 on sale at Bed Bath and Beyond's website. I am no fine audiophile, but for converting my stacks of LP's to CD's, this converter works easy and simply. I have PC VISTA, so I had to download an updated software (even though I ...

nifty unit; some concerns
by mikewillnot ,Dec 15 '06
Pros: USB interface
neat concept, very usable almost right out of the box
Cons: No dust cover
unclear what cartridge/stylus included
company website hard to locate (www.ion-audio.com)
available at this moment at circuit city, btw
outputs: both RCA (switchable for phone or tape/aux stereo inputs; and USB.
the USB output isn't specified, although the audacity software included works very nicely and can be configured for almost any kind of conversion.

Worst customer service ever.
by jsavitttennen ,Jan 26 '08
Pros: A great idea in theory. Cons: Don't break any parts -- you may never receive your replacements!
Bought the turntable for the holidays. Cartridge dragged on LP so I jiggled the stylus a bit and it snapped off. (On old record players there was some give, but on this one...but that is another story.) Went online, found the Ion Audio website, linked to their store (inmusic.com), ordered replacements (2 to a pack), and waited. That was late December. It is now 1/26 -- almost exactly 1 month -- and I still have not received them. I have a lovely e-mail relationship with Jordan at InMusic, who sent me a replacement cartridge gratis (under warranty) and said he'd void the charges for the styli, but THE STYLI I ORDERED A MONTH AGO STILL HAVE NOT ARRIVED. The @#$%^&* turntable is sitting here, useless. Talk about 200 bucks wasted.

Poor
by stevirobbo ,Dec 28 '06
Pros: Looks nice, sounds fair. Cons: USB connection very bad, software rubbish, help rubbish
Found it to be a good deck but if you plan on using it for conversion to mp3 on your PC forget it the software is corrupt and won't record after the first attempt, it changes your system over to it's own audio so disables your own programmes for media player etc, then totally messes up your PC.
It takes a bit to get used to the anti skate adjustment but seems to work.
Can't see where you would get a stylus from except ION so could be costly.
The email help is non existent so don't expect a reply, I thought it was a very expensive piece of kit which doesn't offer anything a normal deck offers attached to a CD copier.
They don't give you leads only attached ones so if they do not fit the appliance you are attaching it to, then you have to buy more add ons.
I would rate it 2 out of 10 for looks and that's it.

iTTUSB Junk/Service worse/discontinued product
by scottsquared ,Aug 20 '08
Pros: None Cons: Doesn't work. Customer service is misleading, evasive, uncooperative.
Since writing this review, eight months after the initial failure, I received a replacement turntable: the TTUSB. Hallelujah! It Works!
I received the iTTUSB for Christmas. Didn't work. Four months of prodding, cajoling, and brow beating before Numark allowed me to send it to a repair facility. That was in April. It is now late August, have yet to receive returned product. Numark ignores all my e-mails. Complaint process initiated via FTC. You are better off recording albums with any analog turntable, and cleaning them up via Spin Doctor. The construction quality, electronics quality, and especially the shielding of the Ion/Numark product doesn't come close to the quality of a $100 turntable of 25 years ago.
