Pros: amazing suction; picks up dog hair like no other; easy to use; not too noisy Cons: none
I've been using a central vac for years and love it. However, I wanted something with good attachments to clean my daughter's room as she suffers from allergies. I was set to buy the very expensive Miele that was recommended by the Allergy Buyers ...

Pros: Ease of use, attachments, awesome power! Cons: Price - that price tag was a little hard t swallow
As an animal rescue volunteer, my house is full of four-legged breathing critters that leave evidence of their existence (hair, etc.) all over my house! In 8 years, I've gone through a Hoover Wind Tunnel, a Dirt Devil and most recently an Oreck - none ...

Pros: Doesn't loses suction, and really picks up that pet hair. Cons: Urine can be sprayed into the motor & inner lifetime Hepa filter. Cheap plastic parts.
I was one of the first on my block to get a Dyson and my original "rave" review is below. Sad to say after nearly four years my love affair with the Dyson has turned into hate. Why? Because -- it stinks! I have a multiple cat household (the reason ...

Pros: Worked great on my hardwoods and initially did a good job on carpeting. Cons: The automatic height adjustment did not work on my pile carpeting.
I went through two Dyson Animals in a matter of 5 months. It worked great on our hardwoods (sucking up an amazing amount of fine dirt), however, when we used it on our carpeting it made a horrible sound. The manual says when the brush is obstructed it ...

Pros: Quality built, easy empty canister, value for money Cons: Doesn't reach underneath kitchen cabinets completely
I bought this vacuum in June '07 when I got new carpet. I immediately liked the feel, how quiet it is, how easy the attachments are to use and, especially, how wonderfully easy it is to empty. After looking over the instruction manual I was very ...

Pros: Everything Cons: Thinking about the cool things you can do with $500. But it's worth it.
...But then I used it. I had one of those bagless vacuums with the filters (I forget the brand, but it was about $100). I thought it worked ok. I noticed the suction was a little poor on the hose after a while, even after cleaning the filters. But it ...

Pros: I love the fact that it never looses suction. Cons: I don't like the look of the vacuum. It looks like a Fisher Price toy.
Last night I read all the reviews that I could find on the internet concerning the Dyson DC07. I work at a rather large upscale department store in town. I was there when the representative from Dyson demonstrated the DC07 to myself and a few other ...

Pros: great suction, good for pet hair, sturdy, easy to empty/clean Cons: expensive, some parts issues (warranty covers 1st year) doesn't go under couches
I LOVE my Dyson. I have owned my Dyson for 4 years and it still works as good as the day I bought it. I purchased it from Sears. I bought the Dyson because I have pets. At the time 2 Dalmations (which shed a lot) and 2 cats. Previous to this vacuum I had ...

Pros: Incredibly powerful, easy to maneuver, great features and flexibility Cons: Accessories are mediocre.
Every time I take my own Dyson out, or spot one, I feel compelled to do a demonstration for anyone nearby. This vacuum is incredible, and it proves its worth in black and white (and other awful shades of dirt) every time you use it. If you thought you ...

Pros: power, hepa filter, cord length Cons: none
I used this vacuum also at Macys. Before all the bissells were available. I had started using a Sanitare Commercial vacuum which I thought was doing well. After about 15 minutes I looked down and saw that it had been spitting dust all over my shoes. I ...

Pros: Suction Cons: Warranty Not all it's cracked up to be. Just a hassle.
Plastic breaks right off!
I too heard from friends & family members about how much they all loved their Dyson. So automatically that made me really want one. I can't say that the suction of the vacum was bad, because I have 2 pets and it worked really well for pet hair ...

Pros: Pickup Power.
Easy to clean.
Best vacuum I have ever used! Cons: Using the extension hose can be hard to set up.
Expensive, but worth every dime.
After my sister purchased a Dyson and could not stop talking about what a great tool it was, with many pets and two kids we decided to upgrade and replace our aging vacuum. Being an engineer, I loved the design - well thought out and carefully designed ...

Pros: The pros: hmmmmm, It's cool looking. Cons: wand is bulky , edgers make mark up carpet
Bought the DC07 from Target. Went home, tried it (sick of cheap vacuums, and excited to have a "really good one")...it wouldn't suck up the cheerios on the bare wood floor. I used the bare floor setting (in the manual it says not to use carpet setting, ...

Pros: Extremely functional. Looks good. Very cool canister empty feature. Long cord. Cons: No self propel. Switch for carpet/floors would be better at the back of vacuum.
Works fantastic. Easiest vacuum to empty, hands down, and NO MESS. It's amazing how fast it fills up, so you can imagine how many bags you'll be saving! You can empty it in seconds, and do it all with ONE hand. It can make old matted carpet look almost ...
