Pros: It looks neat. Cons: It's a plastic contraption that doesn't pick up dirt or "work properly."
I wrote a review on my Dyson DC07 Animal last weekend, but I haven't seen it posted yet - I wonder why. I've owned this vacuum for four years. It was $500. Unfortunately it now longer has suction power. I'm not sure when it stopped working, ...

Pros: Nice color. Fun to disassemble and re-assemble. Cons: Lost suction. Lost its life. I lost the money.
On Sunday, I hefted my Dyson Animal over my head, and beat it repeatedly against the concrete floor. It broke into a few pieces. I marched it outside to the big trash and dumped it. Why? you might ask. Because, after 3 years of ownership, it has ...

Pros: decent cleaning Cons: cost, cheaply constructed, pet hair removal
After conducting a lot of research, I decided to purchase the Dyson Animal. Specifically because I have a large indoor dog that sheds a lot and this is supposed to be THE vacuum cleaner for pet owners. Maybe the majority of owners stating that they just ...

Pros: Great suction, incredible to watch the canister fill with dust and bad things! Cons: Right now the only con is trying to find the release clip!!
First of all, I love the machine and its ability to clean. It's amazing to vacuum an area and keep filling up the canister when it seems to be clean already! My dilemma!! I am searching for the Cyclone Component Release Clip but I haven't had any ...

Pros: Does a good job at picking up fur when cleaning carpets. Excellent on hardwood floors. Cons: Expensive, heavy, awkward hose and attachments.
Having a home with 2 cats and a very large dog, we can usually vacuum up enough fur to build a new pet or knit a sweater, daily. The typical life of a vacuum in our household is about 2 years. After hearing all the raves about the Dyson, I ...

Pros: Works great on dog hair Cons: Wish it pushed itself around the house
Purchased my Dyson back when we had a Golden Retriever - he has since passed and we now have two Newfoundlands. The only thing that keeps me out of the funny farm is my Dyson. This vacuum does such a wonderful job on carpets and tile - just wish I ...

Pros: Nice onboard attachments. Fairly lightweight. 17-foot hose did the entire stairway. Cons: Hose is a bit clumsy with the long metal pipe in it.
Read several reviews online and after my Dirt Devil cord became frayed, we had to check out the Dyson. We have a cat, so we thought we'd spend the extra to get the animal version (which comes with extra attachments) and while the in-store demo wasn't ...

Pros: Good suction for about a year and a half. Cons: Service is slow. Customer support is below par, considering no response to emails.
I purchased a new DCO7 in December 2006. The unit worked very well, exceeding my expectations. The vacuum seemed to perform poorly starting sometime in the fall of 2006. I contacted the Dyson helpline and was courteously walked through every possible ...

Pros: Best cleaner ever (period). Cons: You've got to be kidding. To complain would be just nitpicky. No other machine compares.
How can anyone get excited about a vacuum cleaner? They own a Dyson!! I researched away searching for one vacuum cleaner that could do "everything". I was tired of using 2 different vacuums. One for under furniture and then an upright. The Dyson Animal ...

Pros: - Good suction (duh)
- Encourages husbands to vacuum Cons: - Attachments pop out (GRRRR)
- Attachments break
- Switch badly positioned
OK, let me first say that my husband loves this vacuum and is still raving about it three years after we purchased it, which probably qualifies as a "Pro," at least for those wives who wish their husbands would do more housework. HOWEVER, aside from its ...

Pros: Excellent suction power and easy to use. No bags to buy Hepa filter built in. Cons: Not easy to do stairs with even with the extending arm.
I purchased the Dyson DC07 after going through at least one vacuum a year. I have two dogs, one a Golden Retriever and the other Beagle/Foxhound mix. Both dogs are heavy shedders with our Golden being the heavier shedder. My vacuums are used normally ...

Pros: Lightweight, easy to empty canister Cons: Doesn't pick up debris, costly to maintain and repair if needed
I was very excited to get my Dyson in Sept 2007 because I had read a lot of positive reviews and had family members recommend various models. However, after I had my DC07 for 2 months, it started to lose suction. It wouldn't pick up particles or ...

Pros: upright, bagless, innovative Cons: poor construction, too much suction and costly
I had reviewed vacuums to the point of bordering on insanity. I have 2 indoor Maine coon cats (lots of fur) and was very excited about this vacuum. I used this machine twice before returning it. I am a woman that cares for my things well. I hate to ...

Pros: None. Cons: Waste of money.
I can't stand this eyesore. Four years ago, I bought into the hype regarding this ugly purple thing. I have two dogs and had an old Kirby to do the cleaning. That vacuum was very ineffective. So, I bought the Dyson Animal. I vacuumed one room and ...

Pros: I LOVE it! And I tell everyone too Cons: turbo brush very big, wish they had black or grey instead of bright colors
I can't believe how much better, cleaner my house is after getting my dyson! Three people have bought one that I know just from my research-online for 2 months and great results. No expensive bags to keep buying only from oreck store like in the ...
