Pros: Very light weight. Telescoping hose w/ attachments. canister w/ easy emptying. Awesome suction! Cons: The price is steep. But you get what you pay for!
For a long time I had a hard time justifying spending $500 on a vacuum! I hate vacuuming! I was spending $100-$150 on my vacuums. And replacing them every 1.5-3 years. My last vacuum was a Eureka and I actually had this one repaired once before it just ...

Pros: Has extremely powerful suction. Cons: attachments inconvenient. Destroys throw rugs. Bare floor pick-up poor. NOT RECOMMENDED for delicate area rugs.
I'm really disappointed in this vacuum. I admit, I bought it because of the hype. I own two dogs that go through shedding seasons and I needed something with a lot of suction. With all the hype, I thought this vacuum would be beyond great. Sadly, I ...

Pros: Bagless and does not lose suction Cons: Expensive, attachments can be tricky to use
We recently purchased a new home and I wanted to buy a good long lasting vacuum that would work on hardwood floors. We live in an area were the yards have a lot of sand. I purchased this vacuum online and bought it reconditioned. I purchased it ...

Pros: Easy Manuverability, Filters, Suction Cons: Hard Floor Cleaning, Build Quality
I have had the opportunity to use this vacuum several times at a relatives house while doing a home remodel. I have used most of the features, had to empty it, and use it on carpet, tile, and hardwood and was able to get a feel for the performance. The ...

Pros: Looks Great Cons: Poor build quality, unreliability
Worked well for around 18 months. During this time the Dyson seemed to live up to the advertising...but that's when the trouble really started. The unit began losing suction and overheating, as it seems an awful lot do, cutting out after a couple of ...

Pros: Long wand, easy to use, not overly heavy, bagless, even a child can use it! Cons: Initial price and it's not fond of heavy kitty litter.
This is our 2nd bagless vacuum and it's the best so far. Granted, it was pricey, but after a week of using it, I was wishing I had bought it when it first came out. I've had my Dyson now about 6 months and it's still as good as when I first bought it. ...

Pros: Simple to assemble, attachments and hose very user-friendly, superbly engineered. Amazing workhorse! Cons: Big investment, but worth every penny!
One year ago we purchased a bagless Hoover. After a month I wanted to kick it to the curb. We spent more time cleaning the Hoover than cleaning the house. My husband would empty it (and clean it) just to keep my blood pressure in check. I could not ...

Pros: Very powerful, can even clean the seat tracks in my van Cons: Hose twists a little when using far away
We used to have another bagless vacuum, until I blew it up sucking up a peanut m&m. We had been hearing about the dyson line for a while, that it doens't lose suction and such, and decided to spend a little more money to try one out. We got it home and ...

Pros: Extreme power. Never loses suction. Doesn't break down. Cons: The base is large and is therefore difficult or impossible to get under beds.
I bought a Dyson about a year ago after going through other bagless vacuums like water. Other machines NEVER worked as well as when I first used them. Also, the other machines would clog endlessly, and even overheat and stop working. So we bought a ...

Pros: Great suction, no Bags, no dust flying, fun to use Cons: Makes funny noise, a little stiff to move
I've owned a Kirby, Rainbow, Simplicity, and multiple Hoovers/Eurekas, etc (that only last for a year). We have multiple types of flooring to deal with in our house, and we used to have several animals (now we just have several kids). The suction on ...

Pros: powerful, extremely long hose, handy attachments, easy to clean and use, bagless. Cons: initial cost
I was a bit skeptical of purchasing a Dyson because it is higher priced than other vacuums, but I finally broke down and made the purchase. I have never regretted that decision. I have now had the vacuum for four years, and I actually don't mind ...

Pros: cleans well, attachments useful and handy Cons: cheap parts, and no service
When I first got my Dyson, I loved it! It was great. IT cleaned like nothing I had ever owned and I loved all the attachments and their on-board availability. I have a small dog and a long haired cat and a teenager, so I used my dyson about 5 times a ...

Pros: Overall a decent product for the short term only. Cons: The strength of the plastic is just not there
I bought this hing about 3 years ago. As upright I think it perform fairly well--my wife says compared to her old electrolux ---no. So we differ here. We have some rugs with long fringes---the Dyson doesn't like these---it gets stuck and grinds ...
