Pros: Really sucks up the dirt Easy to push Inculded all the attachments Cons: A little pricey but well worth the investment.
I have had my Dyson DC now for a couple of weeks. My husband vacuum first with my old vacuum and we thought it was clean. My old vacuum was a Sears Kenmore Canister that I have had for about 20 years plus it's been a great vacumm but it was ...

Pros: POWERFUL, quality, tough, durable, trouble free, and works like new a few years later. Cons: A bit heavier than some small cheap vacums.
To help a friend I allowed a Kirby demo the other day, the guy brought the new Kirby model thats lighter, and much more powerful than any model before it (dont remember the name). He ran this thing over several surfaces using the demo filters over ...

Pros: Powerful and consistent suction,
Advanced features,
Condensed design. Cons: Expensive,
No light,
Somewhat firm hose.
First let me say I am thrilled with this vacuum. I replaced a Bissel (not the Healthy Home which I compare the Dyson to in this review) and the difference in performance is amazing. Both are "12 amp" vacuums, but the Dyson is far superior. The ...

Pros: Awesome suction, thorough, great attachments Cons: Price, poor instructions -> learning curve, have to unwrap cord to use attachments.
INTRODUCTION: the situation, moving on I'm a student currently living at home with my 3 cats, a dove, and a canary. A few years ago I started developing serious allergies. Having been tested, I'm not allergic to anything on your typical panel ...

Pros: Works great! No bags, belts, or filters to be replaced. Cons: A retractable cord would be nice.
One would almost have to laugh to see someone pay $500 for a vacuum, but when all the facts are weighed, $500 is actually a great price for a great product. First, let me say I used to be a big Consumer Reports advocate. I bought my last Hoover ...

Pros: Good Suction, in fact performs as advertised, easy to use, and light weight. Cons: Doesn't have a retractable cord, doesn't seem to be very rigid for the price.
This is the best vacuum that we have ever owned! The Dyson is very easy to use, the suction on the vacuum is amazing! It is easy to clean, easy to store and my children even enjoy vacuuming now. They have no problems keeping their bedrooms cleaned ...

Pros: Picks up everything, no bags required, HEPA filter. Cons: Cost. (But worth every penny)
I purchased the DC17 Animal about a month ago. One thing about Dyson is that they have so many models available. You can go to their website, www.dyson.com and check out what each of the models offer prior to making your final decision. You will see ...

Pros: Excellent suction on carpet, especially great for pet
hair and dander. Cons: Works on bare floors, but I've used better.
I originally purchased the DC14 Animal, unfortunately, due to no fault of Dyson, I had to take it back and trade it in for the DC17. WOWWEE!! The DC17 has suction like you wouldn't believe, it pulled up stuff that the DC14 wasn't able to get out of my ...

Pros: Suction!
Good looks (I'm partial to purple)
Lightweight
Easy maneuverability
Not too noisy Cons: Cord storage
Hose stiffness
Lack of complete canister emptying
"Dirtyness" of canister
I bought a Dyson DC 17 Animal about a week ago. While I was vacuuming (with my old vacuum, a hand-me-down Sanyo Performax 10amp) I watched as clouds of dust spewed from the machine and bits of dirt simply bounced around on the carpet in front of the ...

Pros: Great suction, attachments,no bags and pretty color Cons: A little pricey
I just love my new Dyson 17. I really took a while to part with my hard earn cash before purchasing a new vacuum. Lets face it these babies are expensive. I love the ease of storage and handling of an upright but till now couldn't find one that really ...

Pros: Easy to maneuver, cleans like crazy, well designed Cons: Horrible manual, needs retractable cord
We have two dogs (formerly four) and SIX CATS. What can I say, we are animal lovers! After passing through two vacs in two years (a Fantom and a Hoover Windtunnel) we finally decided to drop six hundred dollars, give or take, on the Dyson. Like many ...

Pros: Incredible sucking power Cons: Auto height adjustment
After lots of research and comparing floor models- I was able to convince my in-laws to buy us this vacuum- it was my birthday and Christmas present!! BUT I DID use a 20% off coupon to Linens&Things- which I highly recommend using! Before I had looked at ...

Pros: ease of use, power/suction, attachments, features Cons: no light, telescopic wand/hose could still be a bit longer
The Dyson Animal is the best vacuum I have ever owned. It is powerful, doesn't lose suction, and easy to clean/care for. I have owned many vacuums and have reviewed a couple on Epinions. I have to say that the Dyson Animal is my favorite. Why is it my ...

Pros: 1. Never Loses Suction
2. Easy, Fast, and Clean emptying of the canister. Cons: 1. Price (It's worth the expense)
2. Small REUSABLE filter needs cleaned every annually.
I, by no means, am here to help another profit, just to help you choose. I have had a Hoover with a Hepa filter for the last 5 years and also had a Bissell and Kenmore. By all means, in order, the best have been Dyson, Kenmore, Hoover and then the ...

Pros: Product quality, price vs value...and customer service, it is all superior. Cons: you would think the cord would be retractable in this price range.
I read every review, good and bad, on the Dyson site and others before purchasing. I even called Dyson several times in one day, to ask questions, (as I read the reviews and Yes they answered everytime!) people complained about the manual being hard to ...
