Pros: Picks up almost everything. Cons: Expensive but worth it
I was skeptical at first and hesitant to buy because of the high price, but I have had my Dyson D17 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum for over a year and a half now and it is the best vacuum I've had so far and well worth the price you pay. It gets ...

Pros: Powerful suction, No bags to purchase, My home feels so much cleaner!!! Cons: I thought the price would be a con... It's worth it!
Could this be? Have I finally found a vacuum that can hold up to it's name? I've been reading all the good reviews. I have just purchase my 1st Dyson. I am so proud to own one. This is a exclusive club to belong. I had vacuumed my entire home with my ...

Pros: Excellent suction
Superb cleaning
Many useful accessories
5 year warranty Cons: None for me!
I have owned this vacuum for over a year now. It is the best one I have ever owned. I have not had any problems with it. The suction rivals that of the 16 gallon shop vac that we have. It has never lost suction as all of my old vacs did. We live in ...

Pros: Good Suction, in fact performs as advertised, easy to use, and light weight. Cons: Doesn't have a retractable cord, doesn't seem to be very rigid for the price.
This is the best vacuum that we have ever owned! The Dyson is very easy to use, the suction on the vacuum is amazing! It is easy to clean, easy to store and my children even enjoy vacuuming now. They have no problems keeping their bedrooms cleaned ...

Pros: Good performance y regular carpet. Clean air. Good for allergies. Cons: Not good for long or short carpet. not too good for wood floor
This is a OK vacuum. It doesn't really does what they promise. It pick up better than other vacuums (eureka, Hoover, etc.) But if you have a tall carpet or really short carpet it won't pick up all the hair. You have to empty the container after you used ...

Pros: Nice to see the dirt that others leave behind. Cons: Made from plastic. Can't replace clips, have to replace whole cylinder.
I paid $500 for the dyson about 2-3 years ago. Loved it for when it did. The best machine ever when you have pets. However, most of it is plastic. Plastic clips break easyily but you can't just replace the clip. By bottom clip broke so I would need to ...

Pros: Great suction, attachments,no bags and pretty color Cons: A little pricey
I just love my new Dyson 17. I really took a while to part with my hard earn cash before purchasing a new vacuum. Lets face it these babies are expensive. I love the ease of storage and handling of an upright but till now couldn't find one that really ...

Pros: Could suck the chrome off of a trailer hitch. Cons: A little heavy, but not too bad.
W00T! This thing sucks like a big giant sucking thing, and I mean that in the best way possible. My old, but not that old, Hoover upright was just not doing the job. It would regularly clog up with cat hair and dust and we'd have to take it outside ...

Pros: It works great on carpet and my allergies have never been better. Cons: Unusable on bare floors if you are the 1-in-30 that gets a bad vac.
I bought my vac in January and after the 1st month, noticed that when using on the bare floor areas, it would suck onto the floor and have to be pried up. I called Dyson's support number and they asked me to take it to a service center near my ...

Pros: works well on carpet. attachments easy to use Cons: bad design flaw (see above)- doesn't work well on bare floors or rugs
I had my Dyson 6 days and while pulling it back while vacuuming I brushed my leather chair and it gouged a big chunk out of it. I hardly touched it. I've been vacuuming 35 years and everyone will touch their furniture occasionally but I have never had ...

Pros: excellent attachments, long cord, detachable handle makes using attachments a breeze, warranty program Cons: price
We just bought a new house, and with the million other purchases we have had in the last few weeks to get situated, a new vacuum had to be on the list. I have a black lab that sheds like nothing I've ever seen before and we've gone through (literally ...

Pros: Great suction Cons: not good with animal hair, cost, and customer service!!!
We bought the Animal Dyson for Christmas because we have 3 big dogs and had heard really good things about it. We were really happy with the power of the suction and how much it picked up until it started making a really loud grinding sound. My husband ...

Pros: Best vac for the money if you have animals. Cons: Not crazy about where the wands attack.
Not sure what else can be added but this being the fourth vac we've tried I had to add something. I could have saved a bunch of money if I had spent it in the first place. I had one bag left for the old one so I decided to do a little test. Now we have ...

Pros: Good suction, glides easily, long cord, bagless, 5 year warranty Cons: Attachments don't suck, hose unwieldy in tight spaces, wear+ tear requires service, limited warranty
The Dyson DC17 Animal has very good suction - much better than my previous Hoover WindTunnel canister. And I enjoy not only not having to replace bags, but not having to search all of the local stores for the correct type (which they rarely have!). The ...

Pros: Looks cool, great suction, relatively light. Cons: None that I can see.
I know that sounds lame, but my husband had no idea what to get me. He asked me what I wanted and I said "A Dyson vacuum". I had trouble justifying just buying it for no reason because of the price, but for a Christmas gift, I was perfectly willing. ...
