Pros: Industry standard, full-featured, map templates and data, user-friendly, data sharing, web applications, website support
Cons: Learning curve, training recommended, can be frustrating and occasionally buggy.
Summary: I've used ArcView, ArcGIS and ArcMap from ESRI since 1991. That's twenty years using a software package that just keeps getting faster, more powerful and easier to use over time. ESRI's slogan is: Get the Geographic Advantage. I love their motto! ... read more
