Pros: Lightest and possibly best shooting stick on the market Cons: Very expensive!
Sticker Shock? It seemed shocking when Easton slapped a price tag of $165 on their SiCore sticks a couple of years ago. Still, it didnt deter them from leaping off of the shelves. Apparently the Easton name is closing in on Rolex in ability ...
Pros: Feel, weight, performance, durablity, balance Cons: Pricing in some places...Good in others
Well, First I want to state I am using a Grip Stealth. Same thing, just the grip feel. Best stick ever. I got lucky and picked one up for $150, A Christmas Sale. Usually I would have broken it by now, if it was any other stick. Stick performs great. ...
Pros: Very lightweight and good durability Cons: Expensive and hard to find these days because old
I just love this stick. This stick is lightweight and very durable. I play Bantam AA hockey and i used to own a Bauer Vapor 20 SL, and it broke.......lol. I laugh because im a very light player only weighing 120 lbs, im the smallest guy on my team. I love the way the stealth is balanced, and you get better performence in stickhandeling with it.
Slapshots are harder, and ristshots are faster in the takeoff, just love it, it hasn't broken yet.
The Stealth Ultimate question: Is this stick too light? by stanesq ,Jun 08 '07
Pros: Very light for forwards, good for forechecking, good for agility Cons: High price but discounts can be found. The stick is not great for defenseman.
First off, let me say this. This stick is the lightest I have ever used, bar none. Thats both good and bad in different ways. While a forward will be able to easily manuever the stick while forechecking and carrying the puck, there is something to be said for having a more solid feel when receiving a pass. Forwards will also find they can get a wrist shot off quicker and will appreciate the lighter weight especially when trying to cut the corner to the net. Defensemen will find this stick somewhat annoying though as you will get through your slapshot much too quickly, especially if you have a hard shot already. My tendency is to pull the puck to the left using this stick because it is almost too light for a defenseman. (I am using a midcurve closed toe blade in case you are wondering.) To get the puck on net I really have to take my time and adjust my shot which I dont like. This is especially true if you play in higher level leagues where you play by instinct and have to make quick decisions.
This stick is the holy grail of all one piece sticks. However, the price is mind blowing. Never has anyone seen this expensive of a stick on the market. Why would you want to pay $200 for a hockey stick that will most likely be used by kids?
The weight of the Stealth is absolutely minimal, it's got the lowest kick point ever, and it'll make your shot harder.
I play Midget A travel hockey and can testify that this is the best stick I've ever had my hands on (maybe because I didn't pay for it).
If your in a competitive league and have a few extra bucks laying around I'd get it in a second. If you play house or you play in a beer league, you shouldn't get it. Period.
