Pros: Keeps you and your pet safe while allowing your pet to have a small bit of movement and the ability to look out the window.
Cons: Doesn't fit my pet as well as another restraint I have and is more difficult to adjust. Teaching your dog to accept it can take time, but these problems are all greatly outweigh by the utility of this product.

So, why is your pet allowed freedom to roam the car while you are driving? I feel very strongly in the need to restrain your pets in the car. This is important for a couple of reasons:

Pros: The Easy Rider is great for restraining your pet while in the car.
Cons: It does not fit properly on some dogs and it shaffes the skin.

I bought an easy rider harness for all my dogs and found that the edges do cut into the dogs skin a bit and will cause sores if worn for a long period of time..

Pros: Seat belt harness always a good idea for pet safety.
Cons: Dog can slip out of harness, and mid-driving this can be disastrous.

I got this harness for a lab mix (meaning standard frame--not too skinny, not too fat) and I liked the look of this harness for the cushioned chest piece. I've always used seat belt harnesses for my dogs as a safety precaution and will always recommend them.  Not this one.

Twice he slipped out of the harness while in the back seat.  The harness fit him well and was tightened all the way.  The design of the harness, which is not a typical harness design, means that any dog that wants to figure this out, can. 

Seat belt harnesses are always important, and in my opinion, required if driving with a pet in a car.  But I can in no way recommend this harness especially when I saw my dog sitting in the back seat with no protective gear on mid-drive.  I was just lucky he was content to just sit there.
