Pros: 12 mountain climbing stories under one roof. Very well written! Cons: Somewhat dated. Written in 1990. Still interesting to read, though.

Yes, I've read every Jon Krakauer book (yeah, even that Everest one..) and Eiger Dreams is no contest his best book. It is an older book then Into Thin Air, and so it doesn't have the aire of loss and depression that Thin Air does.
