Pros: Suction, Power, Cat loves playing in the big empty box Cons: Bulky, Awkward, Bags may be hard to find
After our last vacuum cleaner died on us we were on the lookout for a new vacuum that would tackle our cat's endless trail of shedding hair, at first sight this vacuum is a monster that can probably suck your sock right off your foot if you're not ...

Monster
by adrizhal ,Jun 07 '09
Pros: Good suction Cons: Heavy, cumbersome, awkward.
I read a lot of online reviews looking for the best vac at the best price. Many raved about this one, including Consumer Reports. This monster is HEAVY. It is cumbersome, and extremely awkward. The attachments are difficult to work with. I would recommend spending the extra money to get a Dyson.

Pros: Great suction, price and cleaning power. Cons: Heavy, but any powerful vacuum will be.
The Eureka is a great machine for the price. I currently have a Kirby Diamond Edition for the main floor as well as another smaller vacuum for the loft. In my basement I have a small business with a separate entrance and lots of dirt tracking in daily. It is important to me to keep it looking crisp and clean so I purchased this machine for the daily cleaning with the intention of using the Kirby for the deep cleaning. Not only did this machine compare but right now I am taking my Kirby into the shop for a good checkup because I think this cheap Eureka may have kicked it's butt! The brushes stop when placing the handle into the upright position allowing you to move furniture without smoking your belts. The Eureka made the carpet actually brighten after using it and felt like new again. My only concern is that it may be pulling the carpet fibers too much. I immediately told a friend who loves to clean (she also has several vacuums) and she too loved it.
