I love the look of this micro (Emerson, 900-watt bright red shiny stainless steel) and it did great for about a year...
And then it died. Totally. No power, no lights, nothing.
Right after the warranty was up.
I do not recommend this AT ALL.

I bought it a year ago at Target it still looks brand new inside out , took very good care of it kept it clean  and it died on me just yesterday. Waste of money!

I just bought one of these at Target and came here to check the reviews before I opened the box.  There was a link to Target, as having the best price.  I read the feedback there -- many, many folks reporting the microwave is cute but dies after 3 months, 4 months, 9 months, etc.  I was hoping since this wasn't the absolute cheapest microwave out there, that the quality would be decent enough to last, but according to popular opinion,  I just wanted to let everyone know that there are a lot of unhappy Target shoppers recommending that you STAY AWAY from this product!  There were some people who didn't have any problem, but I read at least a couple dozen reviews, and about two-thirds of them said they wouldn't recommend this microwave and wouldn't buy it again...many said they would never buy another Emerson product because they were so displeased with this one.
