Getting another one!

by graceebu , Jan 26 '07
Pros: Best design of all, tough plastic
Cons: Make sure the lid is on securely! May need repellent to make it scavenger-proof.
I have been composting for decades, and find this THE best tool for composting. It sits unobtrusively on the porch soaking up the heat from the sun, and is easy to get at when we dump the kitchen waste daily. The resulting compost is great for ...

A Glorious Garbage-Go-Round

by adonna Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Dec 07 '00
Pros: Clean, friendly composting
Cons: To cure the stuff, you have to refrain from adding to it for a while.
Why would I call my envirocycle composter a garbage-go-round? If I could remember my star wars, I'd call it after the little navagational robot, but I can't remember if that's R2D2 or C3P0.... It's definitely not a protocol robot, although I'd say...

I beg to disagree

by mkirkwag , Aug 25 '01
Pros: Tumbling is faster. Containers are good.
Cons: HARD to turn. Clumps. Leachate all over everything. Leachate is not compost tea.
This is a turning drum that sits on a base with holes in it to collect the liquid run-off. The manufacturers claim that it can produce 85 pounds of humus in approximately 3-4 weeks. Unit measures 30" high and 27" in diameter and 21" wide, and has @7 ...

Small composter with two unique features

by sourpuss , Nov 16 '00
Pros: Tumbler design means you don't need a pitchfork
Cons: Might be too small for supercomposters.
The Envirocycle composter has two cool features that sets it apart from most other composters in its price range.

1. It is a tumbler. (Most other tumbler composters are much more expensive.)
2. It collects liquid at the base which turns...

This is a good composter for the city gardener.

by sanfran94107 , Jan 26 '09
Pros: Compact, tumbles, simple design, attractive, cool.
Cons: Somewhat expensive at $150 and won't give you compost in a month.  That's false advertising.
I am lucky to HAVE a private backyard, small as it may be at approximately 25 feet x 25 feet.  Still, I do my part for the environment by composting what I can.  I have one Envirocycle composter and it does a great job on the lawn clippings ...

Good to look at, terrible to use

by brycenn , Jun 10 '03
Pros: Looks great, promises to keep compost "tea".
Cons: After one revolution, outside becomes slick slimy and gross.
I've had this model for two years now. I was lured by the good looks, and promise of quick compost from a tumbling composter. Several people have commented on the good looks of my device, but THEY don't have to tumble it. The envirocycle is messy, ...
