Worst printer I've ever owned
by tjngirlz ,Apr 06 '05
Pros: Good quality images Cons: Replacing cartridges will break the bank
Constant cleaning needed
Epson Ink cartridges don't last very long. Constant cleaning needed. Very noisy. When one cartridge is empty, it won't print...even if you are just trying to print black text. Print quality is good, when it doesnt come out with black streaks because the printer is dirty.

Epson delivers good print quality at low cost!
by zoompc ,Mar 13 '04
Pros: Low cost. Good resolution & quality price range. Cons: Harder to find ink carts than C62 and C64. Better value printer is Epson C64.
This printer has excellent quality printing with Epson brand ink carts, but beware the generic carts. Exactly what I would expect for low cost inkjet printer. USB or IEEE1284 connectivity. I was very happy with printer until I started using generic ink carts. I have used several different generic brands and all have similar problems: short fill of ink, dry out quickly requiring extra cleaning. I like this printer as long you use Epson brand ink, but I also recommend going up to the C80 series for a little extra money.

Little Dynamo but beware of after market ink cartridges!
by Links4u2c ,Sep 07 '04
Pros: Fast, Cheap, Excellent Quality Cons: Noisy, more cleaning necessary than others I've used.
The C60 is a very affordable printer that is lightning fast. However it is a little noisier than standard ink jets. However my main warning to you is that this is not a printer to use generic ink cartridges with. I'll tell you why. The ink cartridges that are factory made are quick dry inks. You can literally smear your fingers over the paper right after printing, and the ink will not come off. The ink won't even run when damp. The printer is made with that in mind. When you use generic ink, it causes the ink jets to clog, which results in constant cleaning.
However, for the money you will get picture perfect printing out of this machine if you stay with the factory ink. It makes excellent photos on Kodak paper!
