Pros: Powerful suction, long cord with good reach, quiet Cons: At 5 pounds it's slightly heavy.
Once upon a time a cordless shark attempted to scoop up all sorts of household dirt, but the problem with sharks is that they are not filter feeders. My shark died from congestion and a dead motor. Once he was put to rest I went prospecting and soon ...

Pros: See review Cons: See review
I bought this to replace a Dirt Devil M082123 Handvac that did not cut the mustard (see my review of it). So far this one looks good. My first attempt at vacuuming our carpetted stairs with this vacuum after years of using the Dirt Devil ...

Pros: Motor-driven beater brush, re-usable filter, long cord, powerful suction Cons: Must wait for filter to dry after washing it
This model is virtually identical to the blue Eureka 70A. We have five animals and two kids in our home. We have a carpet cleaner, a higher-end upright vacuum, a wet-dry vacuum, and we also need a durable hand-held that can effectively clean ...

Great Hand Held Vacuum
by calpolymom ,Jan 25 '07
Pros: Small and compact. Stores easily in cabinet. Powerful and does not require any recharging. Cons: Only comes with one filter, cord is a little short
Purchased this to clean the stairs in my house, and I love it! The rotating brush digs out all the dirt (never realized it was so dirty!)

Awesome.
by palmettojim ,Aug 20 '06
Pros: Powerful, easy to use, easy to empty, does the job. Cons: Heavy, corded.
This little Eureka 71A is a must for anyone with shedding pets. Its little rotating bristles do wonders that your regular dust buster cannot. Use in on chairs, on the couch and watch the hairs accumulate in the little clear catching compartment. Sometimes a tool comes along that you cannot believe you lived without.. this is it.

Well Designed Gem
by mgdanna ,Jun 08 '07
Pros: Well Designed/Built, Sturdy, Self Contained, Great Cleaning Power. Recommended! Cons: None.
My rug has never looked better.
I bought this vacuum to clean the single 5X7 rug in my small studio apartment. I've had the same Eureka canister vacuum for over 15 years. It does a great job on the rest of the apartment, but the lack of a motorized brush made cleaning the rug laborious.
Quick up to the rescue!
This beauty fit the bill perfectly. Yes I have to get on my knees to clean the rug, but I live in 350 square feet and another big appliance is the last thing I need. The Quick Up is a well built, sturdy, and self contained tool. The dual motor design does a great job cleaning. It's pulling up hair from 3 girlfriends ago. It also has one of the simplest and most effective cord storage ideas I've seen.

Best little vacuum
by tensionn ,Mar 02 '09
Pros: Excellent sucking power Lightweight Easy to use Easy to clean Gets everything Cons: Sucking power a little too strong for the leather ottoman Wish it had the brush attachment
I am a pet owner with two german shepherds. I've purchased everything to help me clean considering I am cleaning almost every day. I researched the Eureka handheld and decided based on the reviews I'd give it a try. I found that it absolutely SUCKED and sucked and sucked some more - until all of the pet hair on my stairs, couch and pet beds were gone. This little hand vac is a dream come true - I don't have to pull out the big vac + all the attachments in order to do a quick clean job. One of our shepherds is white and her hair is the hardest to get up - but it's no problem for this handheld.

Initial impression: WOW!
by gunshipgator ,Jun 09 '09
Pros: POWER, size, dedicated brush motor, long cord, convienient nozzle stowage Cons: slightly heavy, corded not as convenient, but well worth it
Impressive power in a small package. Corded vacuum, not as convenient as cordless but the power makes up for it. Dedicated brush motor makes a BIG difference. Cord is long and easily wraps around body. Easy storage in back of the nozzle for getting into tight spots like car seats and crevices. In the battle of 2 year old vs. Eureka, the toddler wins but only by persistant effort. This thing can suck up hundreds of cheerios without so much as a hiccup. If it sucked up liquids, I'd go into business selling them. It's a bit heavy at nearly 5 pounds, but well worth it. Don't use it in front of company; you'll be embarrassed by how much dirt is on your floor. Shop around as prices varied a lot. I got mine for $42 from Air & Water and it was well worth it. Even got a thank-you note from them after delivery.
